ping pong is cool.
Sweden used to be the champions of the World in this shit, they also had a number of great players and the most well known was clearly Jan Owe Waldner.
This is gay though, and I haven't watched it ever since then.

Hey, I'm a ping-pong player here. Well, I used to play many tournaments, though not at any high level.
In a sport that involves balls, wood, and rubber, how could you not like it? 
This thread would've been more interesting during the World Team Championships in April. The individual World Championships will be in 2007 in Zagreb, Croatia.
It's too bad there are no Europeans who consistently challenge the Chinese dominance. In recent years (following Waldner's heyday), there were times when it seemed that Timo Boll and Samsonov would do that, but not now. It's also too bad there are no TA's from China (that I know of), who could chime in about all this.
