Sweden used to be the champions of the World in this shit, they also had a number of great players and the most well known was clearly Jan Owe Waldner.

This is gay though, and I haven't watched it ever since then.

Love it, you can play indoors, or outdoors, and when you learn different tricks and stuff of how to put spin on it in the right way you can really have fun.

Posted by Laughingfennec on Aug-12-2006 13:39:

And the ones who say it is a sport for girls simply don't know playing real ping pong...

Posted by partyhopper on Aug-12-2006 15:19:

Hey, I'm a ping-pong player here. Well, I used to play many tournaments, though not at any high level.
In a sport that involves balls, wood, and rubber, how could you not like it?

This thread would've been more interesting during the World Team Championships in April. The individual World Championships will be in 2007 in Zagreb, Croatia.
It's too bad there are no Europeans who consistently challenge the Chinese dominance. In recent years (following Waldner's heyday), there were times when it seemed that Timo Boll and Samsonov would do that, but not now. It's also too bad there are no TA's from China (that I know of), who could chime in about all this.

To tell the truth i don't follow ping pong but i only know that people from Asia, Sweden and Germany are the best ones.
Actually i opened this thread for some people who were getting annoying in my "TENNIS thread"
