Global Underground 002 - Who? Where?

Who was responsible for the second GU?
I don't think it was DeVit, Oakenfold, Digweed, Sasha or Warren so who was it?
Was there ever a GU002?

btw, global underground is pre recorde and mixed by a computer . teh only part the DJ plays is the track selection, order of tracks, what point o mix in. not a live perfromance. sad isnt it?!?

damn, i need to hire that computer for a dj set

you ignorant fuck, how can it be mixed by a computer when it's done by dj's using turntables and then mastered (clearing the sound from clicks, noises and so on)

Global Underground is done live hence the live in "place name" and then it is taken into the studio and mastered. If you have nubreed 4, listen to cd 1 carefully and you can hear cheers at the very beginning on one track.

I don't know where some of you get your information from about how the GUs are made.

The DJ plays somewhere, eg Deep Dish did a few sets in Moscow. Then they pick track to reflect their sets. It is not recorded live. The selected tracks are mixed using a computer. With the exception of a few, eg Danny Tenaglia - London, for this he mixed it himself. But still, it was not live......

yep i guess its tenaglia, but also NICK WARREN does his 'live' from vinyl.. not using studio pro tools..
you can hear it in the mixing, hehe
no seriously, its very shoddy at times

not that i dont absolutely idolize him!!!!

You are getting onto something else here. At around GU006 they found a company to release the albums in the USA, but instead of keeping the titles 006, 007, 008 etc, they began at 001 then 002 etc.
Then that company stopped releasing the GUs in the USA. And when they started to get released again, they gave them the numbers which they properly had in the GU series....

majority of mixed cds are not mixed live...they are mostly all made with pro tools ...and mixed that way....Politics of dancing,Trance Nation,GU,NUbreed, all are mixed by computer....occasionally ull have a live one but majority arnt ....its not that they cant its because they have tons of money backing these cds that they have to be flawless ....
