Lee Coombs (Thrust, Finger Lickin, UK)
2006 sees Lee getting ready for the July release of his new DJ compilation "The Land of the Monkey Snake". Inspired by a trip to the Burning Man Festival, he has put together a journey of deep and twisted acid and electro grooves similar to the DJ sets that won him many fans out there on the Playa! Featuring new exclusive tracks and remixes from Lee himself, Meat Katie, Elite Force and more. The compilation also includes Lees huge and yet unreleased reworking of the Electro House anthem Freaks Creeps! Backing all this up with a hectic remix schedule and constant DJing around the world, people are sitting up and taking notice of his extraordinary talent. You will too! - www.leecoombs.com

Farbs is a cool kat and he throws solid events... however... this event is the first in a new monthly series... they jsut happen to be on the same night this month... if you want to see a second monthly breaks event happening monthly than I suggest you support the Coombs show... your support allows things like this to keep happening and helps the breaks scene flourish...
I'm the first to admit that having these two events on the same day is not ideal... but...
when you're working with a free date on a tour schedule you have to take what you can get... and Focus could not pass up on Coombs...
so there you have it...
Click here for reduced list for this event and save $5 off the price at any given time throughout the night.

| Originally posted by El Kay Dee i support the breaks scene but the breaks scene in toronto doesnt support me... how bout getting djs like Kid Kenobi, General Midi, ILS, Ed 209, so on and so forth instead of all these djs that have been here a million times and usually play the same boring stuff? |

^^^^all TO needs is a preview of the harder, faster, well thought out style....the above mentioned are actually rather decently priced for booking and its about time people here saw more than just basic nu-skool and funky breaks.
im almost leaning towards not attending any more breaks events now as i get bored after a couple of hours at any of these events....worst is when a track is played by all the djs in the same night...cmon people..theres a million + tracks out there...
that's sad about your attendance... but I hear ya on tracks being repeated... always why i try and get to a party early when I'm playing to ensure I do not make the same mistake... and why although I love the tunes on Finger lickin I rarely buy them... great listening tracks and dancing tracks but EVERYONE has them.
it's not everyday though that you get to hear the guy who produced them play them as they were meant to be played.
