marco carola?

Does anyone know what hes using to mix at present, never really got close to the dj box as the sound wasnt great down front at priviledge.

I swear on my life this guy never put one mix out all night and I never even recognised one tune he played, no minimal, just good funky as fuck techno.

My new favourite dj

I'm not sure, but I always thought he was kinda 'conventional' when it comes to mixing techniques, i.e., he's still using vinyl, plus CD. No digital stuff. I might be wrong though. He's pretty skilled technically.

good shout.

I just gathered he was maybe using some form of cheating like hawtin (who was shite at cocoon btw) cos his mixing was that damn tight for the whole two or three hours I saw him..

used to dig him but havent followed him at all lately, but apparently he still got it

also, i saw marco spin a few records alongside luciano at the am only party wmc 2006, his mixing was good.

Thought he was good at meganite but on WAY too late for the fact Ferri and Picotto had been on before him playing a lot harder and "less" minimal than he did.

Could I get a pm for that carola set as well?

I never thought he played minimal at all. I was rightn up the back next to the speakers and it was pretty pumping stuff all night long, granted ricky fair tore the place apart, but looking at mauros tracklist from the night Id say the running order was spot on.

Fair dos but it was fairly minimal for wot had gone on before imo. He killed the atmosphere and the crowd from where we were standing. We still wana know what the first tune he played was called. We heard it at Spinclub as well. Had a big siren going off in the middle of it

Love Poundin' Sensation

you probably heard some tunes that will get released around 2008. he is one of my favourite djs, but i enjoy best his older sets (2003-2004)

Live at Asta Vier (Fresh FM) 19-09-2004
Live @ Shockers 2003

haven't heard his "banging" sets lately...

I have pretty much all his records on 12'' vinyl.
He makes great techno and great minimal (not the buzzword watered-down minimal) the real stuff for the true techno fans
One of my favorite producers of all times.

harriz, a true techno evangelist

ya, i gotta agree about the radio 1 meganite party

fergi and picotto ripped the place to shreds, then carola kinda brought it down a bit

although he was spinning with vinyls which was pretty cool

oh, if anyone has it, could they pm a link for the set? and/or any other sets from the radio 1 week
