Each speeding ticket shows you are a higher risk of getting into an accident which means there is a higher chance you will have to use funds from the pool of money to pay for damages to your vehicle, personal injuries to yourself and to others.

As a high risk driver....$4,490.00 isn't too bad. I've seen people with rates over $10,000.00 a year.

Because you are in a leased vehicle you will have to have full coverage on the vehicle. If you want the premium to come down a bit I suggest you take higher deductibles for both collision and comprehensive coverage......probably $2,000.00 deductible would help.

You're probably going to be in the Facility Group so really what you're getting is a number of companies each taking a little bit of your policy because you are too big of a risk for any one to accept. Belair, Nordic (part of Belair), Royal Sun Alliance, Cooperators, Kingsway General, are all big facility insurers.... you'll want to talk to them. Regardless of which you go with your fucked until the 4th anaversary of your first ticket.

High Risk or Facility Insurance is run through The Facility Association.

The Facility Association is an entity established by the automobile insurance industry to ensure that automobile insurance is available to all owners and licensed drivers of motor vehicles where such owners or drivers are unable to obtain automobile insurance through the voluntary insurance market.

The Facility Association is an unincorporated non-profit organization of all automobile insurers Ontario and other provinces and territories.

Every insurer licensed to write automobile liability insurance in any jurisdiction the Facility Association serves is required to become a member and remain a member of the Association.

Finally, my last year with Kingsway before going to normal insurance. I averaged ~$4000 per year.

This is a bigger problem than your insurance.

Colonelcrisp, I know what Im about to say wont help you at this point but for future try to remember the usual spots where cops are waiting for a victim and try to check your mirrors often for a police car, specially when you are going over 25km than the limit. There are only a few police cars so its worth to know the shape of their headlights so you can even recognize them at night.
