I don't think Tranzy State of Mind is as bad as everyone says it is but Silver Bath would get my vote here.

actually Push is MIKE which is also Plastic Boy

Well, I've listened to "Tranzy State of Mind", and I'm sorry but to me it sounds like Push's latest effort is "neither here nor there."

What I mean by that is that has some synths that don't really go anywhere, there's no powerful driving rhythm, and on the whole it's a little boring -- though I agree, quite hypnotic.

However, a trance tune can be hypnotic AND interesting AND energetic AND danceable. This one isn't, I'm afraid.

Rather than come up with something truly innovative and memorable, Push seems to be recycling the same old themes that he's used before with people like Yves Deruyter.

give it a few more listens Eugene... I thought the same thing, and i heard it once, and i was like DAMN! and i jacked the volume up and it blew me away. Lovin it ever since.

this tune is much better than Silver Bath. When that big beat comes in, it's massive destruction, and the whole song is pure energy. LOVE IT!!!!

Push - Tranzy state of mind gets my vote. I love the vocal clip in it. This is in my top 5 tracks for 2002

Posted by TranceSeeker on Mar-08-2002 22:21:

tranzy state of mind for me to although silver bath is almost as good as it

Posted by Haak on Mar-08-2002 22:23:

I love them both, but I think I'll have to go for tranzy state of mind

and davinox is right. when I first heard the sample of it at MIKE's website, it didn't really sound that exciting, but when I got the full rip and listened to it a couple of times, it got me hooked and I couldn't stop listening to it

are you sure you have the right version, the 2002 club mix, because for awhile i thought the same thing and then i realized i had the old version, which is 6:54, the new version (2002 club mix) is 7:27

I dont think the track is hyped at all....well maybe on this board but that dosnt reflect what the entire electronic music community is thinking. Its just a solid well produced track that sounds good on a large system. Compared to shit like rapture and second sun this is NOT hype

Just had to say i really agree with you've everything said, except the part of second sun being shit - I enjoy that choon. It is true though, that we sy a track is hyped if there s 2+ posts about it, but in the big picture, it all blends into thousands of tracks that DJs spin, and we pick out the cream of the crop. that being said,
Tranzy State of mind is Brilliant!!
