Love Poundin' Sensation If You Had The Chance To Meet Your Fav. DJ...

What would you say?
For those who have been lucky enough to meet their fav's - what did you say to them? Did you request a track...confess your love for them...ask for a photo/autograph?

I know quite a few people on here have met DJ's in the past so I just wonder if it was all you hoped for or a disappointment.

I confessed my love, asked for an autograph, and took some pics

Oh yeah...it was Tiesto on 2 different occasions (And Ferry on 3 occasions)

The first time I actually met Barbara she spotted me at Aria in May of 03 after her set and introduced herself; she had emailed me thru her guestbook to say thanks for the support over the years and I had told her I would be at aria that nite.

While we were standing there chatting, Christian Smith was playing and he played a DJ Cave track that had just been released on Ignoma that everyone was playing, and she said she had to run and ask him what the track was because it was so good - except I was able to ID it for her. I couldn't believe she didn't know!

So, yeah, the first time I met my fave DJ she actually introduced herself to me and I ended up ID'ing a track that she later said was her track of the year. Pretty lame story but I like it

Am I the only one who doesn't care about meeting DJs?

I've been fortunate enough to meet about a dozen of my favs.. but one thing that has always made me feel awesome about each encounter, is making it a point to not come across like some uber fan asking a million questions, taking pics or autographs or anything (and I always end the convo before they do) and instead I have found myself often in situations where the DJ actually goes out of their way afterwards to strike up a conversation with me, and at times I have exchanged contact/msn info as well!

As for what I say to them.. depends on the situation... sometimes it may have to do with some of their productions, recent/past gigs etc.. or maybe even just that we have some mutual friends.

I've never really cared to respect people who play other peoples music for a living. It's a cool job atleast.

I'd ask maybe 1 or 2 questions, then thank them sincerely for giving me some of the greatest times of my life.

Yeah, they're just people ffs. Plus I notice all this DJ-craze is giving them egos the size of dumptrucks.
