Would Cubase be good enough for mixing an mp3 set?
Hi,
I have only one or two records and one or two CD Albums, the rest of my tracks are CD Singles or mp3s.
I wan't to mix a set of wavs and mp3s on my computer (not live) to export as mp3. I have Cubase SX3, will that be fine to use or should I go for Traktor or Virtual DJ?
Cheers
Cubase is meant for professional production and very time consuming to make a set. I'd go with Sony Acid Pro 5.0 or Mixmeister. Acid is actually a cut and paste production program but way easier for what you want to do. Mixmeister is just drag and drop. You don't even have to mess with the pitches or anything unlike Acid.
Cheers for the info, when googling I just got stuff on traktor and VDJ. I'll check them out
acid is good, i used to make mixes with it... its a bit tedious with the beatmatching tho... you can't just type in the bpm you want and expect to get it... maybe try doing it with ableton live???
i suggest sony acid pro
easy and gets the job done, though its not meant for live DJing, so if u got a spare couple of hours u can make a tidy set with that.
