tell me whats wrong wiv this??

hi,
dont really know alot about eqing or compression or producing for that matter but im giving it a go and i threw this together in about 10 mins, spent no time on it at all, just messin, used batter2-drums, albino1-subbass and pro53-arp bass

eq'ed kick, subass, arp bass and precussion, no compression or effects!

sounds kinda ok to me from a nobos point of view but id like some of ur opinions on it as yous know ur shit !

yea but those people are spending hours and days on tracks. you cant just throw something together in 10 minutes then expect people to analyze it for you. maybe if you spend a bit of time listening to your track you will find the faults yourself then when you have your track near complete but you find yourself stuck then ask for help which people will be happy to give.

ive been tryin to get a good sounding kick bass and precussion for over a year now, i mess wiv the eq day in day out but still cant get it sounding good, i may hav made this in 10mins but used all the knowledge i currently have wen doin so....

When you say you spent 10 mins on this track, it doesn't even make me want to check out the link. It says that you put no effort into it and it's just something you felt like doing, not something that you're actually working on. I could make something in 10 mins every day and post it and tell people "hey check out this cool groove I made...what do you think of my bass and percs?!?!?" and I guarantee people will just laugh. Spend more time then post your efforts and people will comment on your work.

Texting is retarded. It's like a step back in technology.. If you want to tell someone something, call them. It's alot faster than typing a message on a numpad.

About your sample, EQ the mid-highs on the arp bass. (boost them)

this post isnt about spelling or texting, i can write short if i want, most peoples phone bills are made up mostly of texts, most people cant make a call whenever they want so a text is sent,

i just wanted some advice of anykind on how that clip sounded, pointers e.t.c

bet if i posted a clip of a pro produced song alot of yous would still say its weak.....

If you want peoples opinion here, you need to change attitude and go produce a whole track, then post it in the Promotion forum, not here!

And if you want a review on you soundclip? Here�s one, BOORING and THERE ISNT ANYTHING TO COMMENT, get it?

Be serious and do something serious. Not many of us are "pro�s", but i promise you that, if you aleast try to make a decent track and be back in about a couple of weeks, and then post it in the promotion forum, you will get more reviews then what you are getting now!

megaupload is the gayest host ever.

Its just crashed firefox twice in a row and popped up a window both times advertising 'women seeking dublin male' and 'poker party line' respectively. In fucking firefox! Those crash too. After waiting 45 seconds, clicking on the download button pops up another window which again crashes firefox.

NINJA EDIT: I EVENTUALLY GOT IN ONLY TO FIND YOU UPLOADED A FUCKING .WAV FILE. WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU??? Part way through the download guess what happened? the window crashed.

Honestly, mate, I would gladly give you some tips and feedback if:

1) you used a non retarded host.

2) you saved the file as an mp3.

3) You write in English and use points and capitals.
4) You write a proper thread title.
5) You are friendly.
6) You spend more than 10 minutes creating a sample. A single patch takes up more time than that if you count in fx and modulation. Did you know it takes time to write music?

Ask yourself this? Would you listen to something that took someone 10 minutes? You'd probably think - 'why should I waste my time'.

You never gave off the right signals at the start. Had you said you'd been at it for 10 hours and was stuck, people may give up their time to help you out.

This is a very helpful forum with straight forward guidelines, all you have to do is post a 192k+ MP3 sample, give off a decent attitude, write in plain English so members from other countries can help you out, fully explain what you need help with and finally use your own ears first.

Sample sounds fine for a start btw

no need to start calling people wankers mate. at the end of the day as retiro said all the top producers dont make tracks in 10 minutes. it takes me about an hour or two to tweak my kick drum to my liking thats after processing it. a bit of time and effort in a track gets respect.
