Read This! Kork Kaoss Pad KP3 Anyone?

Soo here we go

Powerful sampling tools and performance effects
at your fingertip

Korgs KAOSS technology has been embraced by DJs, musicians and producers alike. No other interface is as intuitive, immediate or just plain fun to use. By simply touching, tapping or sliding your finger over the touchpad, the all-new KP3 allows you to control multiple effects parameters and manipulate samples in real time. On stage or in the studio, these gestures and moves can become powerful and expressive performance elements. More than a processor, the KP3 is a complete instrument allowing you to manage, recall, and play back samples; sample on the fly; and add dynamic processing to any audio signal or to the samples themselves.

Hmm doesn't say whether you can play samples from an SD card that you loaded from your computer... only save what you make on the unit to SD card...

Would like to know if it is possible to play it off SD..

I wish there was a demonstration video so I could see it in action.

Anyone else have any comments on the KP2? I'm thinking of adding it to my setup for more diverse filter effects than my DJM-400 can provide.

Thanks.

Bumping this again. Anyone out there have the KP2? I trust you guys over random web reviews. What's the quality like, especially with reguards to the different filters?

I love it when I get the chance to play with any of the Kaoss Pad effects processors. It's such a different way to input effects from the Pioneer EFX series, and in some ways I guess I feel like I have more direct or precise control over the effects I create.

I'll probably pick up a KP3 sometime after the new year.

I had the Kaoss Pad 2, and ended up selling it. I didn't really find much use for it with the type of music I play (prog, house). If you've already got a DJM-400, I don't know if you'll get much use out of the KP2.

Many of the effects are not very usable (they sound odd), or are very difficult to predict and control when using the pad. The sampler on the KP2 is nearly useless.

The Kaoss pads aren't really marketed directly at DJ's, but to musicians in general. As such, they aren't quite as suited to DJ'ing as say an EFX. If you're playing techno or some other genre where it's a good thing to totally F*(K with the music, then it might be good for you.

The KP3 does look to be a big improvment, however.
