Voice Announcements/Voice overs/Radio

Hey, I was just playing around with some new tracks yesterday and mixed them. I really liked the tracklisting for it but a bit of mistakes so I'm doing it over again today, with maybe 1 or 2 track changes.

I was wondering if anyone here had a good radio voice, or knew of some vocal snippets to help me (i.e "live in the mix") which I could attach onto my demo.

You know, I'd like the thing like: "This is DJ so and so, in the mix" etc..

Anyone have any ideas?

voiceovers are annoying as hell - why would you want to put them in on purpose?

For promo purposes?

Plus, I wouldn't put them in every 10 seconds, Just maybe 1 in the beginning (intro) and another nearing the end.

That is the easiest way to get your cd thrown out!

if done properly voice drops can add to the mix

but they're like effects, less is more

i've got a radio voice and the radio producer job to go with it but unfortunately i'm booked solid, if you're willing to wait until the fall i can do something up for you

It can actually work if done well, but you shouldn't be looking to do that to cover up mixes as it will still be painfully obvious. For voice overs to sound good everything else has to be tip top otherwise it comes across as being slapdash.

Cheers

Nemesis44 is right there 1st of all non of us know how you sound when you dj so why not add a thread (in the promotions forum) with a link to one of your mixes then we can all say if you need voice overs or not its best to get advice from seasoned dj's then to go out there and think i know what im doin for you wont TRUST me (most of us have alreeady been there) most ppl rush into things and then F**k up and can never recover from it.

1st impression means alot in this industry and if you start off on the wrong foot well need i say more ...........
