downloading

oh btw put .mp3 at the end of ur link or else its a 404

edit:

this is a pretty tidy remix, i like the melody of it

only thing that was a little let down was the percussive side, i dunno if it was the bassline or something but it didnt quite have enough 'drive' its got a good up-down bop though, sounds like tracking treasure down or something LOL

love the nintendo sounds, they are fantastic

pretty good mixdown the kick is a bit poppy, other than that its good shit

Okay first things first...

The idea is superb. I mean we have some f* nice harmonies to get from old nintendo classics, especially the Mega Man series! So nothing wrong here... but

I can't help to feel that you didn't give your all on this track. I mean the bassline is kinda boring, sounds bad too imho. You start it in transposed mode which get even more annoying since i don't like the sound of it... you've should've gone with the standard club track intro but instead you leave me bored with the bassline even before the melody has been introduced.

Your percussion loop(s) sounds cheesy and weak, i think you need to edit them a bit more and get them "tighter" into the mix. Some subtle delay on them might fill them out a bit more.

Anyways... I think this track has potential, but it sounds "unfinished" to me.

dont not the game as im not a real gamer. only ever played footie games but heres my opinion on the actual track.

nice bass really different and has a real game feel to it. nice melody. this sounds really good so far. i can picture this in a game with the actual kick, bass and percs. wish i could comment more but as i think its fine the way it is.

nice listen mate. love hearing different stuff.

listening...I have to admit that tho i was an avid nintendo player i was never much of a megaman fan so i'm not sure what to expect. So far it sounds pretty good though. The bass comes in a little too fast in my opinion. I'm liking the melody and the effects. This is really cool dude! It is tons of fun great job ! I hope my resident evil remix is anything close to as good as this. Keep it up man.

Andy

you got some valid points there, and i agree with you, but i kinda tried to keep things a but simple, as the bass and the lead takes a lot of room in the mix.. thanks for the points and ill consider doing some cleaning up

thanks for the comments French and Kane.

Hey subtle,

Listened to the track. This is uhh different I like the start with the percussions, really nice choice of percloops. The basskey sounds weird but it goes well with the percs for some reason.

I think you had no idea how to reach the breakdown so that just shows up out of nowhere. Nevertheless it is a very nice leadsound and notation you got going there. I am still not sure about the bass.

After that first leadsection a nice sort of breakbeatsection kicks in. You are just playing with loops from I think the Vengeance club sounds after each other but it is fun as hell to listen to

However again it sounds as if you just did not know how to melodically build up towards the leadsections But once the leadsynth is playing I am very much hooked. A very full sound you got going here and a lot wider and better than your previous tunes. Really nice!

Too bad that after the 2nd leadsection you again come back for a third one, you have lost my attention here and it again listens as if you are a bit clueless of how to construct the track

Overall a pleasant listen though! And the percs in this track are of the hook!

Cheers!

hey mate and thx for the feedback.

you are a very observative guy as you were right in all ur assumptions.. i did use loops from the VEC, i didnt have a clue of how to get to the breakdown, and from the second leadsection i didnt know what to do as the track was kinda short, so i brought back the first leadsection back again.

and yes i was a bit clueless as it`s not the standard chords progressions and melodies i had to work with, hence i didnt know quite how to construct it, kind of a trial and error method.

thanks again

hey stian! wtf have you done? mega man? coooool!
reminds me of my younger days siting all day in front of my nes!

mastering is as always mint...
the track itself mirrors the feeling of this game very well...thats a big +pt., aswell!
i think this kinda mellow fits good to your style...
dont know what to say more...i enjoyed listening...

The bass sounds weird but it works.
Cool fxes.
The break actaully comes nicely.
The mainsection sounds a little empty.
I like the melody.
The breakbeat is cool.
The second mainsection is nice.
Hmm in the third mainsection maybe you should bring another riff below it. Or some acids or I donnu.

Still a cool track.
7/10,
Omer

awesome Subtle dude, like this one alot. Still not as good as your frozen remix for me but the percussions awesome and the bass kicked my face of man, wicked. Bag fulls of energy!

hey mate

sorry bout msn last night - had to run.

anyways, i like all the elements. the percussion and kick is nice and full. break - i love the main synth. very 80's film and 90's computer game

i like the snare - gives that 'out of the blue' drive!

main melody - i would open up the synth a bit. make it more airy. only a touch. also i would maybe make the percs come through a little bit more. just a subtle difference - i think the drive would improve.

overall the track is very clean, well balanced and full. and the track is quite sophisticated as far as vgm rmx's that use the whole melody go.

this vgm mix will be great!

This is cool, one of my favorite songs of MM3.
Good percs, the snare is really good, it fits well in the mix.
Nice and funky bassline, Though it could have used another layer to give the track more drive. But it totally works as it is.
Great work.
