Alex M.O.R.P.H. & Rank 1 - Life Less Ordinary [Vinyl, Releasedate]

quote:
It's finally time for you to look out for the biggest collaboration of the year!
An amazing feedback from clubbers all around the world resulted in the decision to give this production a strictly limited release.
To keep it exclusive, Ministry of Sound (GER) has put Life Less Ordinary on only 500 vinyls! These will arrive on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 1ST !

Don't forget to check your music store and/or preorder it as soon as you can. It's your only chance to grab your copy!
With insane support from Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Judge Jules, Marco V, Eddie Halliwell and Ferry Corsten ("Fucking vette plaat, man!", @Cream Amnesia last week, and a sold out Amnesia went out of the roof), the global dance scene is just waiting for Life Less Ordinary to get released.
On the flipside you will find another superb collab production:
L-One lets Alex M.O.R.P.H. team up with the known dutch DJ & producer Misja Helsloot. It's a stunning built up trancer which shows up in its beautiful break.

Mark your calendars with every color you can find!

Greetings
Timo

to be honist guys i think this is very poor, just seem like they have jumped on the dirty house band wagon. horrible over used dirty bassline :-(

Posted by Tea-mo on Aug-23-2006 20:03:

I see your point, but Life Less Ordinary is different...I mean, it's not just another ripoff of anything, it doesn't pump like all the stuff lately, it has beautiful classical parts and is really phat produced.
In a club the people really go crazy when this pumps out of the speakers

Posted by KAKAAKlol on Aug-23-2006 20:22:

I dont like also. Worst collaboration of the year.

word, but they are better without him

though i have to admit i really like "Life Less Ordinary" even though it sounds much like Mode Hookers - Instrumental

But without Alex they wouldn't have produced any trance track at all
This is totally offtopic tho, and if you don't like the stuff Alex does: avoid it. Simple as that...If you want to diss around, switch to hip hop.

This is just the info for the people that love the track, that's it...

it's a free discussion forum..

i've liked alot of his previous productions, likewise with rank 1 but this was a MASSIVE let down the breakdown was ok but it just didn't climax in the slightest, just turned into another soulless wannabe dirty electro-house affair that sounds like tons of other forgettable tunes

no asshole. this is not a happy fanboy discussion forum where you are just allowed to praise every release. this is a review forum where you are allowed to write reviews no matter of they are positive or negative.

I thought everyone knew it but obviously not.

Posted by Tea-mo on Aug-24-2006 11:54:

That's ok, it's not really a trance track at all and I understand that this style is not everyone's kind.
But comments like "Alex is nothing without S&T" etc. are not really neccesary and don't have anything to do with "discussion"

Anyway, those who like the track: enjoy !

And the asshole-language is VERY mature...

don't assume the only reason people dislike this is because it isn't in a fullblown melodic style. rank 1's 'top gear' and even '[email protected]' both had a different feel to them and were pulled off really well, they sounded striking & fresh. this just sounds tired & old

Posted by Tea-mo on Aug-24-2006 12:15:

It's not only the style or the track itself that disappointed some people. It's (maybe even mostly) because they expected something different from such names as Alex M.O.R.P.H. & Rank 1. I fully understand that. For me Life Less Ordinary is not THE tune as well, because I also prefer the real "usual" trance style from Alex (& rank 1) and in general. But I still think this tune is phat
I don't think I would listen to it at home much, but in a club it's burning..

Not? I would say this means that the person who said that thinks that the Morph productions were better when S&T produced them ( = the earlier releases are better than this one)

Posted by Kris G on Aug-24-2006 17:21:

Regardless who is behind producing this, it lacks soul and the over-used mannabe electro base line bores me to tears. Given who are behind it, it should've been so much more.

I didn't like this at all, it probably works in the club though.

Posted by Faust_UA on Aug-25-2006 16:13:

Very poor tune, expected much more than this from Alex and Rank 1.

Posted by Carlos_06 on Aug-25-2006 16:53:

Rasta

Love morph's & rank 1's work but have to say me is not mad on this one at all.

Posted by Ted Promo on Aug-25-2006 17:32:

It's pretty shit. Generic anthem trance over a pummelling "hello, we just made it to 2005 and can't seem to get out of this damn Angello & Ingrosso show" bassline. It feels sordidly cheap and two dimensional.

Posted by Trancened on Aug-25-2006 18:26:

Monster track...full support

Shawn

yah, another listen and this track just feels soooo

Posted by ronk on Aug-25-2006 19:10:

this track is ok, I guess it'll sound good in a club.

Don't waste your time arguing with the guy who started this thread.
He's a representative of the label.
No matter how good or bad the tune maybe, he has to and will support it.
Incidentally, it's not bad but the same electro sample sounds boring and has already been used one too many times.
