Best place to work : Best Buy or GAP?
Which one would you wanna work at ? GAP will have more chicks and offers better discount . I'm undergoing training in Digital Audio for Best Buy right now . I like the fact that I could get discounts on all of them , but they are all expensive and I dont need most of them for everyday use. So , what do you guys think?
Actually i know a couple peeps that have worked for Best Buy. They like it & were with the company for a while. I also know a guy thats gonna be the GM of a new store opening up & he said it was an offer he couldnt refuse even though he's highly qualified for other careers & jobs.
Our best buy people are retarded... so not only would it be nice to spice up their workforce a bit... it's a dreamstore
I work at Best Buy and I absolutely love it!

def. best buy.
explaining electronics > guessing sizes, any day. Plus, you wouldn't get assaulted by whatever godaweful music they play in Gaps (I'm assuming it's something...all clothes stores do nowadays...damn you, Abercrombie)
All I can say is, Best Buy entertainment system/TV section. Drool....
i'd go GAP...i mean you're gonna get discount on your clothes

They all have big TV departments. That doesn't make them a good store. I would never buy anything important at Best Buy.
Well, if you work at Gap, most probably you will also get employee discounts at their sister stores, such as Banana Republic, etc ... And getting discounts on clothes is pretty good. However, working at Best Buy is pretty cool too, because you get to be around electronics, and play around with the new high tech stuff . i have no idea. of course you can't choose the job that gives you the most discounts.
just choose the job that makes you feel good. do you like to sit in front of the cash register all day, fold clothes, and clean up dressing rooms, or stand in some section of the store stocking and restocking items on shelves, answer noob questions about digital audio eqipment, and get harrased by people asking why a price is higher than the electronics store across the street ?

Best Buy is pretty easy. Every question, u answer with "that's not my department"

GAP is for chumps.
Best buy is good for CD's.
Like Ygrene, I have to say indy stores are better.

| Originally posted by Psionic Well I don't give a crap for customer service, and I usually know what I want to buy when I go in there. I don't browse around at a place like Best Buy. I do my research before walking in there. I just like it because they do have quite a bit of selection and it's only 10 minutes from my house. |
I know someone who worked for best buy and hated it. I don't know if it was just his store but every morning everyone had to gather and do jumping jacks saying "BEST BUY!" everytime you did one...and if you came late to a morning meeting they would make you sing "I'm a little teapot." Sounds like they have some weird psychological shit going on with their employees.
