Eh, low price?
$1475.00 is way too much for such a simple synth in my opinion, even though it's analog.

Posted by pixxxan on Aug-24-2006 03:08:

it really not expensive for a real analog synthtetizer... considering there are virtual analog that cost almost twice as much.
remember, this is REAL analog. One of the last chances to get such synthesis..

simple synth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

u know u are commiting sacrilege u know!!??

my guess u havent been making sounds for enough time to aprecciate, the filters man, the filters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so if u want cheap, u can get the gforce minimonsta, which is wicked! but still is not the real deal!

Posted by bobba lou on Aug-24-2006 06:12:

this is definately a piece to have.

Posted by Limit on Aug-24-2006 21:39:

looks like a whole lotta bass to me...but I'll wait till it goes second hand.

Too high a price for me.

Posted by Corteoz on Aug-24-2006 22:27:

Just listened to the demos, and it didn't actually blow me away. It's a pretty piece of hardware, but I don't think it's worth that much money.
I can get two used synths for that price.

Posted by Derivative on Aug-24-2006 22:45:

I want one. Its pricey but when you take into account the 'other' monophonic subtractive analogue keyboard DSI Evolver its about the same price. You pay through your arse for analogue anyway...

Also, I dont know when the moogs became famous for their basses. I always remember them for their leads. They make some real screaming solos. The first wipeout soundtrack has a minimoog lead in every track and its fucking awesome.

Posted by mzvirbulis on Aug-26-2006 06:00:

yeah this an awesome little phatty i must say!

but with automation, does this mean because it uses real analouge voltage control that the only way to manipulate parameters is hands-on control when recording? but that makes it more fun anyway if yes!

I don't think any hardware is worth such damn high prices... I'd rather spend it on a nice car, sofa, television or something.

Gimme some good software emulations for 1/10 of the price anyday

hey, it's just me - it's not everyone or general... chill out.

I don't know how much money anyone else has, life's just too expensive here in Belgium to waste it on a hardsynth.

Yeah, because good software sounds 1/10 as good as analog.

Well being that i own about 5 analog synths Jupiter 6, oberheim xpander, ob1, SI pro one, SI prophet 5 v2.1. I can safely make this statemen based upon what my ears hear. Not to mention there UI nothing like grabbing a bunch of knobs. But what ever im a idiot and Virtual synths sound just as good...

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Aug-31-2006 04:40:

I am not saying that software is exactly the same as analog. It is not. All I wanted to note was that both can have their place in good productions. The "1/10" comment seemed to dismiss any use of software as automatically meaning a drop in sound quality, which is just silly, since loads of talented producers who have access to tons of good synths use analog, VA hardware, and software in their productions.

Posted by keymogmachine on Aug-31-2006 07:56:

I'm not a fan of the moog analogue sound!

I prefer synth like ARP odyssey or Korg MS20!
