sacramento?

i decided i want to go out this weekend, preferably saturday. is there anywhere worth going in sacramento? if not, i'll just go to SF but i'd prefer not to drive in that direction. i don't know much about the dance scene in this area...

Hey,

Im from sac and ill tell you that there is no scene what so ever in sacramento. There might be a well known dj every now and then but they are few and far between. The clubs suck and are always full of assholes and the people who dont appreciate the music. Its mainly a hip hop oriented scene.

I've been to several clubs and they all sucked and 2 music fest which got shut down in a matter of hours. If i were you, id go to san fran almost always something good there. plus its not too far away if, I take it, you live in Vacaville?

as far as a dance music scene is concerned...it is non-existant! It is all hip hop and top 40...

the park on 15th an L is a good night out...more of an upscale lounge...its bearable...beautiful people...music varies from top 40, 80's, 90's, hip hop...

the park on thursday's might bring in a decent headliner...they have mark farina in sept.

I head to the city when ever possible though...

san francisco it is then! i actually live more in the bay area but my friends live in sac.

sacramento!? are you crazy!? i am from there and i dont remember them EVER having a scene outside of metal or rap/hip-hop/top40 stuff.

SACRAMENTO scene died years ago...
there was a point 5-6 years ago when there were dj's and huge parties every weekend....
now all about all you will find is some underground parties with mainly locals playing and a club night here or there with an out of town dj....
"dubstar" has been trying to throw parteis out here(SMF) but all have failed misserably...

but SF is only an hour and a half away

if you drive the way most sacto drivers do! lol but then again the way we drive down here (the way i drove when i lived up there too) i got lots of tickets when i lived there. here i have only gotten 1 speeding ticket as opposed to 4 and i have lived here 2 years.

What are you trying to say that we sacramentoites cant drive??? Well maybe thats true, if we had some decent events to go to maybe it would improve.

But i learned from tigo by sitting in the passenger seat for several years, holding on for dear life, so i guess im a lost cause.

the sacramento scene sucks. majority of the clubs plays top-40 or hiphop. I live in sac and i just can't stand those clubs. that's why I come to the bay whenever i get the chance to. if your friends live in sac tell them to drive to the bay. most clubs doesn't end til 4 or even later than that. that'll get you a chance to recover.
