wtf is up with beatport again...

Every section I visit today, it shows me tracks from like 2003 and 2005 as the newest ones....

Posted by D-res on Aug-25-2006 00:34:

It's not happening to me. So many people are complaining of different bugs but I havent been having problems.

Posted by Clovis on Aug-25-2006 00:39:

Maybe its just opera?

Posted by Clovis on Aug-25-2006 00:40:

Its happening in Firefox too.

Posted by D-res on Aug-25-2006 00:48:

what tracks you lookin at specifically. I looked at a half dozen random new releases and didnt see it.

Posted by Clovis on Aug-25-2006 00:58:

Go in Electro House section, view all as tracks.

It shows tracks from like 2005, even if you click the release date sort button.

Happens to me too. Also, can anyone explain why I can't buy certain tracks because of my territory? What's that shit about?

Posted by Clovis on Aug-25-2006 01:44:

I just started clicking on "This Week Only" and it shows me the stuff from this week, but still in backwards order. lol

Found some good tracks and completed my 18 track order anyway though

some record companies only wanted tracks to be released in certain countries. My recommendation is to find a random proxy server in that country and just download through that. havent tried it myself but theoretically it sounds like it would work

I always thought that too, but I wonder if they also go by billing address.

Territorial errors can be due to various things actually:

In regards to proxies etc someone should try but I doubt you'd be able to make it.

Yes, but you're not supposed to go public with a beta... especially if it's a place like that where a simple flaw could mean a serious security issue.

It's been fucking up for me all day.

Annoying.

Beatport vs 3

Beta

edit

Just saw Mario's post.

I don't like the new version at all...

Posted by jdat on Aug-25-2006 20:29:

I like some aspects of the new version but they are still missing one thing I REALLY want:

a PLAY ALL function!

That would rock. Nothing more annoying than sorting through the different tracks inside the same release and having to click to the samples one by one

If anyone knows any special tricks let me know

Going on another site with better sounding samples that allows you to put them in a playlist. Either AudioJelly or TrackitDown let you do this...that's what I do before I buy....listen to a higher quality sample on those sites. The sound quality sucks on BeatPort's samples...

I don't like how you click on the name of the artist...and it brings up all of their releases...instead of the track names.....I hate having to go through the different releases to find the track I'm looking for...and it would take too long to search by the track name.

Where it says "Display results as" check the "Tracks" button. on the left
