tiesto is gonna rock

Posted by Tranzmit on Mar-10-2002 03:47:

Yeah Tiesto really was a lot of fun and played some great tunes. But Fleming did a really nice set in my opinion and i loved his style too.

Tiesto really was energetic and was wavin his hands in the air and signing t-shirts etc etc. I was in the forth row from the front or so, and it was pretty mad. I was surprised though by how many people were there to see Tiesto and i even met some guy who's a regular on these boards but he hasn't signed up yet (i told him to )

All in all a really fun night i thought though it was a bit sad to hear some of the happy hardcore stuff at the end but hey i guess thats all a part of it now eh?

Now to sleep hopefully

lets hope the dj's did too, so they'll all wanna come back!!!!!

Posted by Adjacent_raver on Mar-10-2002 08:15:

Every international act in the Cream arena was unfuckingreal.. Mauro Picotto made the night for me though... his mixing skills, tune selection and his way with the crowd is just unbelievable.. Fergie too was superb.. when he dropped Marco V - Indicator the place pumped!

syd two tribes

Where to start. What a fucking amazing night! If you can instantly think of the night of your life this was mine. Tight group of the 5 of us all interested in the cream arena mainly. First 3 hours were good but from when fergie took over things went balastic. He really surprised me with a really melodic trance set, i actually went to the stage to check if it wasn't john00 playing. It wasn't. I waited for the start of john 00's set and met him b4 he played, got photo's and cd's signed, what a incredibly down to earth nice guy. I mentioned astral proj to him, he played 2 including remix of faithless god is a dj. I love that track. Extra 40 mins of him as tiesto was late from the gold coast. He came on the place went balastic, first track sub train, made all the better by the fact that me and my friends talked our way backstage and saw his whole set from about 1 metre behind him. im not sure why we were there but the view from the decks was incredible he had the crowd stomping, flight 643- memorable to say the least. We were screaming encouragement from just behind his box but he didn't need it. He was having the time of his life. And i was having mine. Met him after his set got all my cd's signed and a photo with him and maurio picotto, both really friendly as well. It was amazing watching tiesto work the decks he was so fast picking the next track from his box and he danced with the crowd his whole set. John 00 came back and talked to us for a while during picottos set and i can't say how excited i was to have a chat with him again. Picottos set was fantastic, it was so fast and hard and included verdi, he had the place rocking. As everyone was running late he was still playing at well after 6 and his pace wore me out. My head needed some slower stuff so i checked out seb fontaine as im a fan of progressive as well. Renaisance was way less packed but he played some wicked music and took me through until after 7. I think i sat for about 10 mins the whole night and my legs were telling me by then as well. It didn't seem that packed all night but the cream room was full enough but everyone still had room to dance, with a wicked atmosphere everyone smiling their arses off and i love to see happy people. Bad points far too many people carted off by the ambo guys, i really hate seeing that. Im giving the night 100 out of 10, maybe tiesto played a little shorter than i would have liked but john00 stole the show anyhow. I hope melb was just as good.

Posted by Adjacent_raver on Mar-11-2002 13:44:

Im not shy to say that this was probably one of the best parties Sydney has ever had. Who agrees?

Posted by Simon00 on Mar-12-2002 01:13:

I'd agree in that it was probably the best lineup ive ever seen in sydney but in terms of numbers i would say it's far behind many other events. Apart from the cream room which was pretty full all night and the mos outdoor stage which was ok when i saw it, i thought the other 2 rooms were virtually empty, seb fontaine didn't play to too many people at all. By the way did you notice in the cream room how bright the lights were most of the night? I mean really bright and really white, i was tempted to go outside to the car and get my sunnies. Also feel free to correct me but im pretty sure in the cream room there wasn't even one laser, and im a big fan of them. Maybe the white lights all night outshone them. I only just thought of this while at work thinking about the weekend. Ah the memories!

Posted by Adjacent_raver on Mar-12-2002 02:34:

yeh youre right.. there wasnt one laser.. pity, i thought there would have been and it would have made a big difference

Posted by dj_helen_k on Mar-12-2002 12:30:

Smiley DJ .............................

WE NEEDEd the LASERs! :
aww well.
@ least we had the music.
but i must agree.

it was a shame that there were not any lasers! not even one!

damn!

maybe next time...

Posted by Jah on Mar-12-2002 12:49:

im glad to see you guys almost had as good a time as here in perth

Posted by Adjacent_raver on Mar-12-2002 14:29:

Oh believe me.. Sydney was better (as always )

Posted by SpaZmawookie on Mar-13-2002 07:15:

There were some REALLY big budget cuts the monday before the event[trust me - I was operating lighting during tiesto/first half or Mauro]

There were going to be lasers, but it costs $1000 just to have a laser installed - it is pretty freeakin expensive, and they didnt make numbers.

i had a great night - hope you liked cream :-)

Posted by Simon00 on Mar-13-2002 21:38:

I fucking loved cream! But what was the go with the white lights being so bright, so constantly. I can't remember if it was during tiesto or not but there was no excuses for picking up a shocker that night!
