I hate my bank.(An oddly appropriate topic for "Bank Holiday")

**Short version available below.

When we went on vacation last week, I ended up having enough cash on me to last the week, so I paid no mind to the money I had in my checking account... I checked the balance before we left, said I had $130 available (a deposit was pending, but the funds wer already available), and I knew I had one bill payment coming out of that account yet for $15, however the payment was processed before the deposit, and the deposit not actually posted until the next business day, netting me a $30 overdraft fee.... That's fine, whatever, it happens, I'll fucking pay it. I use the card the next day to get gas, and that is the ONLY time during the week that I use the card for anything, knowing that all transactions (including the fee) have cleared. I should have had around $70 in my account.

But then...

My account apparently goes haywire and they charge me for 5 more $30 overdraft fees sinking me to an almost -$100 balance... BOOO!

Upon calling the bank this morning, the error (on behalf of the bank) was overturned and my account restored to $70, but the transaction is still "pending" and thus, I cannot use my debit card anywhere, as the fee reversals haven't officially "posted" to my account.

Essentially, when I log into my account it says that I have $100 available, but when I go to purchase anything, my card is declined...

Short Version: I have 20 tracks in my crate on beatport right now and due to my banks error, I am unable to purchase any of them and am being required to "be patient" while their shit gets straightened out.

I made a $900 deposit to my bank on Saturday and the funds still haven't cleared. The even cooler part is that the check was issued by my bank. Teh gay.

hook your checking account up to your savings account and it will automatically deduct funds from your savings account.

That's not a bad idea, but my bank charges you for overdraft protection if it's linked to your savings. Lame.
