i dont mind the hate. thats natural in any social environment just that its a bit more upfront

Rules don't stifle conversation and humour. Not seeing a rule saying "anything topical or funny is strictly forbidden in AuTA".

I dunno why its sucking at the moment, the hate may have something to do with it. However look at it on the other side, maybe the hate is coming out because theres nothing else happening (probably more likely).

IMO forum anonymity was taken away with many people forming personal relationships with people on the website. Not necessarily a bad thing, but in the long run it contributes to a clique on the site in which outsiders are less inclined to join or participate in discussions. Also people are less inclined to be honest about events etc on this site, thus making it fucken boring.

Yeah i can see your point, the Syd TAs are pretty close knit and we'll contact each other via phone or email whenever everyone is going out. I can see how that would prevent newcomers from joining up, especially if they're into trance considering none of us listen to it anymore
