Well a few weeks ago someone posted something about this track, but it was about an ambient mix. Still don't know if it exists (though I do recall hearing about it somewhere). Anyways, lovely track. Awesome melody. Ralph Barendse is an amazing producer (though Cobra wasn't one of his best). This track and "Monkey Forest" are among his best IM0.

Love Poundin' Sensation

Ralphie B rules!! My favourite is his remix under his "midway" guise of Solarstone - Solarcoaster. That gets me every time!!! Aslo Midway Inca, Monkey Forest. Have to disagree with you on Cobra i thought that was a superb record!! Pity he doesn't DJ.

I don't hate Cobra, but I don't think it's nearly as good as Inca or Monkey Forest, esp the melody...

The original mix is just too plain and simple for my tastes. It doesn't really have anything beneath the surface.

Now, the Mirco De Govia remix on the other hand...

nicholas bennison remix is bananas - one of the top 3 remixes of last year.

and "massive" remains an outstanding tune

Posted by pvdAngel on Aug-29-2006 19:43:

Yup. One of my fave tunes from 2001.

I'm the creator of that thread, Spirit, and I'm fucking proud too.
Nontheless, it's a fucking piece of gold.

Look no further than the Filterheadz remix. PvD remix is rubbish in comparison.

Posted by trancedanne on Aug-29-2006 19:57:

Mirco De Gobia remix is gold, Filterheadz also damn nice

One of my all time fav tunes...that breakdown/buildup , till this day, gives me a spine tingler.

Original Mix is the only version for me.

Posted by skip on Aug-29-2006 20:43:

i always thought all the remixes were shit. and i thought everyone shared this opinion with me.

guess not then.

anyway the original is still fucking mindblowing IMO. really good stuff.

it's pleasant but doesn't seem to have any edge to it. first state was rather nice on the other hand, so i'm willing to believe he hasn't completely lost his touch

Lol great track, one of my all time favorites, however what does that have to do with Ralph Barendse (Ralphie B, Midway, First State, Alpha Breed etc)?

Posted by r5a on Aug-30-2006 02:21:

Sort of the same.. kind of... In the sense of a great track.. I dunno man!! Serosuly though, when I think/hear of Ralphie B massive, that track comes to mind really quickly.

I agree with you too Brooks! I only have the original on my pc. The rest just dont do it for me.

Misja Helsloot-'First Second' (Ralphie B Remix)

Now that's a ch000n. Same idea as Greece 2000 melody IMO just alot better (listen to it if you don't believe me).

lol, its sort of funny you say that because when i originally heard it 5 or so years ago i had no liking of the track... i just rediscovered it about 6 months ago and absolutely love it now... that happens a lot now when i fall upon some older trance tracks

Posted by kadomony on Aug-30-2006 05:13:

one of the biggest tunes EVER for me.

<---hardcore ralphie b addict

Spurred on by Beatport jacking up its UK prices I've been raping & pillaging a load of older (cheaper ) tracks I missed at the time & Massive is one of them. It's OK but I prefer Cobra. My fave of the old tracks I only got recently is A Force - Behind the Silence. I missed some classics!!
