suggestions needed - Sat. 09/02

hi everyone.....

I am originally from Toronto but have been away in New York for the past year or so. I am heading back to the t-dot this weekend with some friends and am looking for a nice place to party on saturday night. since i've been away for awhile i could use some help from TOTAs on what's hot now and what's not, so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

looking for a nice bar/club, nothing ghetto or too gino.... preferably some hip-hop/some house (yea yea i know this is TRANCE-addict but i'm saving the trance for LOL the night after)... 19+ as my cousin is only 20 (i know some nicer clubs only do 21+)

it will probably be a little more quiet than usual but it will still be good. even on nights when we expected skybar to be DEAD it ended up being packed like usual

Mink is a pretty good club if you're looking for hiphop/r&b/house on a Saturday night. They have a really nice patio upstairs. May as well save Guv for Sunday so you can truly enjoy it and experience it for the first time on one of the most amazing nights of the year.

If you check out Mink's website you can also see a ton of pics so you can suss out whether it fits your criteria for type of people. http://www.minknightclub.com

yea.... i have to agree w/ the above. they have really nice shots of the different parts of the club and i gotta say it looks really good... anyone know what kind of crowd they draw?

From what i'm seeing it looks like early to mid-twenties, not tooo many ginos or plastiques around which is nice . I know my bf's sister goes there quite a bit, she's 22 and refuses to go anywhere with a really young crowd lol

been to mink a couple of times, usually dragged because of birthday's.

I like the patio (eventhough I don't remember it being nearly as nice as the pictures...)

the crowd is just like any other crowd you'd run into at a hip hop club.Actually scratch that, the times i've been there; the crowd has been suprsingly nice.

the main room has a very nice decor, my only major complaint would be there is very little space to dance.

anyway, it's worth checking out.
