Looking for a mix! Set Theory wants YOU!
I do a (mostly) weekly podcast that gets a decent listenership. One of the segments I've started is called SubSet, which is basically a guest mix (and it's own show).
I'm looking to make SubSet a biweekly thing. It got a decent response and I've gotten emails asking when the next is going to be. So I need people to submit mixes to me. The guidelines are as follows...
(1) The mix needs to be very close to an hour long.
(2) It needs to be electronic dance music
(3) It needs to be compressed into a 128kbps 44khz MP3
(4) If you want to put drops in it, that's fine. But leave the first and last minute of the mix drop free so I can add bookends.
(5) You need to be able to get me a low quality version of the mix so I can preview it.
The fact that it should be well mixed and cleanly recorded should go without saying.
I will also need some information from you - a little bio if you will. If you include links to things like personal websites, MySpace, etc I will include them all in the show description (which appears on the Set Theory website / RSS feed and podcast lists like iTunes. Besides the exposure, you'll get a hosted mix with unlimited bandwidth.
If I pick your mix for the show, I can either download it from the service of your choice, or I can provide you with temporary login info to an FTP account that can be used to transfer the mix to me.
For an idea of what the show it like, visit http://www.set-theory.net and take a listen. The first SubSet was by DJ Eru from Atlanta, and the second was just published and features DJ Kevin James from Boston.
Email me at [email protected] if you're interested and we'll get started.
