Yes..it's only the first day of September but after glancing around the forums, I cannot help but notice that LA is stealing all the dj's again. They already got Sasha and Digweed. Now apparently they got Ferry. He's playin in Vegas the night before (12/30) and there's a huge rumor that he'll be in LA for NYE. I really do hope NYC books a couple dj's just like LA did. Especially since NY didn't do shit last yr as again.....LA booked everyone. Enough of my rant. Who do u guys wanna see for NYE?

likewise, there is other things to do on NYE besides partying...as there is other things in life besides snowboarding...go seek'em out =P

and believe it or not the year pvd played at exit, I stayed home and had a dinner with a few friends that was it. was a bunch of fun after I heard what had happened at exit lol

Same thing happened last year. Just wait a month or two and we will know what dj(s) will be here.

im goin against the grain here a bit, but to me NYE is just another fuckin day..lol yeah its the last day of the year but why is that so significant ? i dont get that OMFG i need to party like theres no tomorrow ? type of shit.. i dont like the fact that it seems like its an obligation to party. if theres a party i really wanna goto, i'll do that, maybe its a house party thing with friends, maybe its just you & youre girl having a quiet nite away from the hecticness, whatevers. just not the party til you drop on NYE type of cat i guess. enjoy your NYE, the threadstarter.

i agree with everyone else...i rather go away for NYE, preferably for non-clubbing activities. or just do something chill. I dont expect NYC to get anyone good (aka unexpected).

i prefer thanksgiving eve actually where all the bars are packed out, and you end up running into lots of heads you havent seen in a long time....then of course there is the feast the next day. so for me thanksgiving eve gets the nod over new years eve.

Thanksgiving Eve USED to be the biggest clubbing holiday in NYC. We'd have Sasha, Diggers, Cox, etc. all in the same weekend. The past couple years haven't been that exciting though.

I admit... I went to Trancegiving in 2001. (I feel old realizing that was nearly 5 years ago.) It wasn't horrible, but that was my first and last Oakey experience aside from Ultra. There was a live PA by Jan Johnston singing "Flesh". Thank goodness the opener and closer were Seb Fontaine and D:Fuse.

On the Subject: I am just hoping I'll find good music at some nightclub on Hawaii on NYE. I know there is a big house movement but I haven't done my research yet. I know DJs from Japan spin on Hawaii. Will see what happenes.

Off the Subject: Thankgiving isn't looking too interesting party wise yet sinse I will not go to Oakie party and I have seen PvD 6 times this year alone. (I am pooped out from PvD for the year although my 7th PvD event coming up on Ibiza soon) I hope I will find me a good Tribal House party.
