The 80's (aka "Why Lira envies his girlfriend")

So, today someone played "Tell me to my heart" as a joke during our break dancing sessions, and I finally found out what the hell that woman was singing. Happy to see something that reminded me of my childhood, after coming back home, I looked for the video clip on Youtube. That's when reality struck me:

What kind of decade was that!? I wish I had been born either in the 70's (like my girlfriend) or in the 90's... but the 80's!?

Yeah, growing up in the early '80s was...scary.

Come to think of it, yeah, you're right, at least I was less conscious than her during the 80's (she was 10 in 1989, and I was just 6 ).

I wish I had been born during the 90's then

I was born in '76 - talk about pressure.

Well the god forsaken fashion of the 80's is returing, with the damn emo kids wearing clothes that make my shit at the bottom of the toilet look like gold compared to their fashion sense. Seriously here in birmingham everyone has jumped on the emo badwagon and its slowly making me implode. I really hated the 80's.

Emo...Millennium Version of the late-80's/early-'90s, Nine Inch Nails / Pretty Hate Machine Age. More than half of Long Island's younger generation has gone Emo, slowing turning the area into Resident Evil 4. OMG, I suppose that makes me glad I moved South Florida, even though people out here are weird(-er), in some instances as well.

If she was 10 in 1989, she was 20 in 1999... she won't be 30 until 2009!

^ Back then, I was like , when he was swinging that guitar around, like a madman. Now, I would've laughed, if the guitar slipped out of his hands, in the end of that video.
