EDDIE HALLIWELL ROCKED it

way too much fucken hard house IMO.

He dropped "Through your eyes" - Guiseppe Octavianni though =)

and I think he dropped "Life Less Ordinary" as well?

I mean there wasn't anythin wrong /w that but...the timeslot didn't fit the mid for some hard stuff.

the timeslots were all kinds of messed up. how the hell are you going to put blank & jones and eddie BEFORE infected mushroom and rabbit in the moon. yea, they are good in their own respects but insomniac ALWAYS books them. B&J at 7:00

oh yea, marques wyatt fucking ROCKED IT! and they had like a mini stage where some dude was playing some sick breaks as well.

So i leave my house at 7 (anaheim hills) get to the nos event center around 8:15. I quickly rush to the the line to get it

Anyways eddie comes on and wow he destroyed me, i was seriously soo mindf***** hes set was sick it got me going i couldn stop dancing to him ive been wainting 6 months to see him it finally whent down lastnight i was soo glad. after Eddie i when outside for another drink and for some fresh air. i walked around for about 10 mins and when back inside i belive RITM was performing so i found my spot front and center with the rest of the TA's. RITM set was awsome! it was deffenatly something new, after RITM i stayed for Hernan Catteno which was a killer set not alot of people were diggin it but i loved it. After Hernan's set i decided to look for some of my friends from anaheim hills, that didnt work out so i decided to go back to the Labyrinth i believe Christopher Lawrence was playing so i rushed again to the front and prepared to danced! which i did. I love CL hes set is soo energetic ive seen CL 3 times and ive always been impressed with his style.I stayed in the Labyrinth room till 330 and i left i was just too tired so i made some new friends and kicked it outside for a lil while till 4 i did get to see Infected mushroom for a lil while good solid set but it seemed to be the same from EDC's set but oh well i still had fun dancing to that. Overall i had alot of fun! good times with the trance addict family all of you guys are soo nice and chill im glad i got to see some of you saturday night.im now on my way to another BBQ!

so thrax and i leave his apt at like 215ish and get to the nos events center at like 4ish. we go get our tickets and get in line. they didnt start letting anyone in till 430.

so we go get the id bracelets and get a beer. we hit up the breaks room where his friend john something was playing. his set was actually pretty cool. i liked it but then again i like breaks. we then proceed to get some food and we took our food to alices house to sit on the grass.

we finished our food and walked around some more and then we sat on the grass in front of that pond thing. i see kris and michelle and run over and say hi and see sarah too. so then i tell them ill see them in a little while and me and thrax sit and just chill for a bit.

we then go into the citrus room for eddie halliewell and man was he good. he has an awesome show and his personality he puts into it is cool too. he really shows that he loves what he does. stayed in there till Crystal Method came on in the breaks room and went over there for half the set then went back to labyrinth for IM. stayed inside till the last 20 mins or so and then came back in for the last 5 mins. we were all beat and ready to leave.

saw a bunch of tas and met up with some friends too. had one of the best times at a rave ever. the music was so awesome and the people i was with were the best too!

i love to dress in theme for these big raves and no one does it better than kris and michelle so when they suggested we pick characters from alice in wonderland i was on board! michelle was the queen of hearts, kris was the rabbit, julie was the chesire cat and i was alice, yes, i know i don't have blonde hair but whatever.

we get there around 6ish and walk around and check out the sights. not as many people dressed up as they did for EDC but those that did were fun. blank and jones gets on right at 7 and we get up front to dance. i loved their set!!!! the room filled up quickly and the crowd seemed to really dig their set. at the end of their set they came to the edge of the stage to shake fans hands and such and it was way cool to see them get really excited to see eric there and they hugged him and smiled real big. it is great to see djs be excited to see their biggest fans and to greet them that way is incredible. i really do enjoy dj's sets at these raves b/c they don't hold back and just bang it out for the hour and a half they have.

then eddie gets on the decks and of course he kills it so much energy and all that crazy tweaking and whatever else he does just makes for a spectacular show. we are all drenched with sweat by now but can't stop dancing. at the end of eddie's set he decides to stage dive into the crowd!!! pretty f-ing cool but then again, not too smart b/c he was relying on a crowd full of crackheads to keep him afloat. but with no incidents he made it back to the stage. then hernan gets on and i have never seen him before and i really dug his set! i know it seemed out of place for some people but i thought nocturnal's line up was way smoother in transitions than EDC. atleast you didn't have the major energy djs leading into low energy ones.

anyways....... then the 15 minute change over and it's time to walk around. michelle, kris and i ride the slide which was way fun. met all kinds of crazy fun people. loved partying with henry and mo_n_japan! man mo your energy is crazy. he never stopped when i saw him and henry was having a blast. very cool to meet kimchi and of course all the other TA's that were there.

then RITM gets on and the crowd was just way too packed and it's getting hot, so kaine and i go to the side stage they had for vip and watch from there. pretty cool to watch bunny change into all his different outfits behind the stage. man, i don't know how he did it with the heat and those heavy outfits. i asked him about it afterwards and he was like, it was way hot but he loved the crowds reactions. they definitely put on a crazy live show with tons of great visuals.

christopher lawrence was on after that and of course this is where he shines, at raves and he just laid it down. there was one track around an hour in that if i had my eyes closed i would have sworn jOOf was on the decks! but the last 4-5 tracks he kinda held back or something, but he was still great.

IM was crazy and loud and fast and insane just like EDC but so was their track selection. i recognized the first hour right away so after that michelle and i decided to get some fresh air and walk around. by this time my feet hurt so bad i wanted to cry. my buzz had worn off so i was in major pain. i can't seem to learn my lesson, i always tend to put fashion over comfort but i think this time i have learned my lesson. i wore platform high heel mary janes and they totally matched my alice outfit and were pretty comfortable until about 2 am and then the pain set in. i literally have bruises on the balls of my feet and my right pinky toe is cut to hell and back. i have been walking on the sides of my feet for 2 days now and not wearing shoes. i dont' know what i'm gonna do when i go back to work tomorrow.

so all in all i had a very fun evening. i go in to these raves knowing what they are, i try to stay away from the e-puddles and try not to get upset when i see 14 year olds cracked out. i enjoy the vibe from so many of the people and see things you normally don't see at clubs. it gives me a chance to see many djs in one night and since my attention span is pretty short it's perfect for me that each set is only an hour and a half. the energy is always high and i always meet interesting people. and dressing up is always fun, everything is funner in costume!

thank you so much kris for hosting us this weekend, you're awsome and kaine totally hooked us up!!!!! so much thanks to him. miss him so much. partying with michelle, kris, julie, ben, thrax, eric, riia and so many more of the TA's is always a great part of my experience. nice to finally meet the quiz and happy birthday to you! also so great to see fei-fei there! it always amazes me how many people you just randomly run into with that many people there! i'm sure i'm forgetting some people but i can't seem to remember at the moment. finally rested thanks to having monday off. good times, good times!



my only real rant was the nasty guy who's dick was hard and rubbing it all over my ass. i actully turned around and said to him "Get your dick off of me!" he just looked at me like he didn't know what i was talking about and then proceeded to do it again!!!!!!! i had to push him off of me and then i finally had enough and moved all together b/c he wasn't going anywhere.

A Trip down the Rabbit hole

Nocturnal Wonderland this year was by far the best one I have been too. The Tallent was awesome and worked out in the time slots the Dj's where placed in.

Kris, Sarah, Julie and I decided to Dress up in the alice in Wonderland theam. Kris was the sexy white rabbit, Sarah Sexy Alice, Juile the sexy Cheiser Cat and I the Queen of Hearts

We get to the event around 6:30pm and right away we where stoped by people who wanted to take our pictures. After the quick photoshoot we went into the mainroom and ran into Blank and Jones. Since they where not on yet we went back outside to get a frozen Margarita and talk with the TA's we ran into and get more photos taken. Again we where stoped a lot but quickly made it to the "main room" The room was all of a sudden packed and Blank and Jones where going off! They played an awesome set that got every one in that room dancing.
I first started dancing on the side stage they had but the music was so good I had to be out in the middle. The last song they played was Underworld-Born Slippy I do not care how "old" this track is... it is simply amazing. \o/

After Blank and Jones, Eddie took over and blew the roof off! Wow. I was lucky enough to get on stage and watch this guy mix from the side lines. Wow. I can watch this guy mix forever. He had 3 tracks going at once! and it sounded like one Track. His tricks on the CDJ's and Mixer our out of this world. Again the tracks where so good I had to be out in the middle. I wish they put video cam's by him and incorperated it into his visuals so everyone could see. Right before his set Ended Eddie gets in front of the crowd and stage dives into the sea of crackyness. I do not know what he was thinin :lol:


There wasn't even 5 minutes and Rabbit in the Moon took over. Yes I know it is not Daft Punk, or Kraftwerk.. but they put on one hell of a show. Everything from the full body light suit (those glasses they hand out make the show very intense) to the Green furry thing, to the big plastic ball, glow sticks, fire girl, to the saw on the mask is just amazing. Bunny had to be hot in all his outfits. At the end of the preformance all this red and silver confeddi came out and stuck to everyone. We where all coverd.
There was a slight change over but a stage hand had this huge thing that blew out ice cold air. Man that felt so good. I wish they had that thing going on the whole night.

During the change over. Kris, Sarah and I decided to take a walk out side to cool off and explor. I saw that they had rides and I had to go on the super slide. WEEE. That was a lot of Fun.
Back inside we went and Hernan was on. I liked some of his tracks but I was not really into his set. So I went to walk around for a little bit with Sarah.

After our walk and a slight buzz kill it was back to the main room. Christopher Lawernce was on and was killing it. He played some amazing tracks. Since it was too packed in the middle Sarah and I decided to dance on the side stage again. We saw this little candy kid girl jump on stage and start dancing. Then she went for Lawerance she was kicked off the stage but not out of the event. b/c she did it again!
Half way b/w his set Sarah and I decided to move to the other side so we could get our picture with him. I got to go on stage again and took some pictures. Then my friend took me to the actual booth. Since I HATE being in the way I took a couple shots and left back down to the side to dance.

Infected Mushroom was the final act of the night. Sahra and I got our picture with the lead singer of the group before they got on.
Like they did at EDC they killed the dance floor. The crowd was going off!
I do not know what track they where on but some crazycrack head jumped on stage and grabed the lead singer (ummm ok WTF) Security quickly kicked him off. There preformance was had so much energy! The place was PACKED with people. Too crowed to even think about going out there to dance. A half hour before they where done it was time to go outside and cool off and walk around alittle bit.

At 4am the event eneded. We rounded up the troops and headed over to Kris's house to rest our feet and chill.


None of this night would not have happend if it wasn't for Kaine. So a BIG huge thank you goes out to him. I had so much fun dressing up and parting it up with all the TA's!!

I will be posting my pictures soon. Warning I did not take a lot this year. Red lights and my cam do not get along well.. and I forgot one of my batteries at Kris's so I had to conserve

With all the pics you take...you should work on buying a much better camera!!!

Not saying a Digital SLR, but like a nice little camera.

One of these days I will get a nicer one.. But it needs to be small so I can take it to the events I go too with out getting a stupid press pass.

Kaine had a 8.0 mega pix small one.. I need to find out what kind that one was!

There are super tiny compact cameras than can do 6 megapixels and up everywhere now.

But you don't really need something that big for getting point and click shots. I would work more on making sure you get something that's just real good quality for the price.

I'd do research and when it comes time to buy a new camera, make sure one you choose is good in low-light situations.

My old $200 Sony camera sucked ass overall, but it's low-light quality was better than most $300-$400 cameras. So it worked well in clubs for getting shots with cool lighting/effects. Never noticed how well it worked until other peeps would point it out. :P

Anyhow, point is that the most expensive, feature rich camera isn't necessarily the best one for clubs!

Right now I will work with what I have and figure out how to set my cam to shoot better in red light..

Anyways... back to the reviews now

I love to dress up! So my bright idea was Alice in Wonderland.. knowing we all could find our characters! We just needed the darn Mad Hatter...... oh well..

So we dress up at my house and GO GO GO!

We got there around 6-630.. first thing we get is mobbed for pictures.. haha.. at one point i swear we had 20 cameras on us! Funny.. but seriously.. we were on a mission to A. sell an Extra ticket, B. go pee. and C. get to the main room for Blank and Jones!

Blank and Jones were cool.. we got to stand beside the stage and watch..

I was in wonder around mode.. I got a squishy margrita..or 2.. and finally found someone to buy my extra ticket.. Thanks Ben for your help on that!!

I had to go back in to see Eddie ..OMG!! He just tore it up!! I LOVE EDDIE!! Completely insane!! I could do with out his stage diving... it causes this wave of people to stomp on you.. knock you over or whatever forcing you to grab on to whomever is next to you that is already falling over too!! When you're sweaty and wall to wall with so many people.. just stay on stage please!! Its too crazy for that! Plus Ive been stage dove on before..it freaks me out!! Almost knocking my head off last year at EDC..

Next was Rabbit in the Moon..OMG How in the heck did Bunny think of doing all these things?? What a creative mind! This show seemed more aggresive then when Michelle and I saw them at Avalon. Still super amazing..with the 3d glasses, glowsticks, and the fire girl, the saw, the furry suit..
Again.. the stage diving happened again..freaking me out.. forcing me to grab my nearest friend for cover!! and then The Rolling ball... FUn... amazing show.... just alittle more aggressive then I remember...Tons of confetti droppin the entire time RITM was on.. we looked like gift bags or something!

During the change over we all went outside for air and drinks.....and many more pictures with our now super sweatness! I think we lost 20 pounds of water! I have never ever sweat so much in my life! Pouring down my head into my eyes, down my back into my buttcrack (tmi) down my legs...... and nothing to really whipe it on.. so your just stuck sweating!

Next was Hernan.. I liked his set.. I felt like it was to clean the pallet of what was yet to come........ His set was cool but not as energetic as it was in Miami...

Christopher Lawrance is completely at home in A Rave event.! ROCK ON!! Great energy, great tracks, completely having a blast!!

But through some of his set we decided to go check out Crytal Method. Very Cool! I like them.. they bounce around on stage and just kinda hang out, stand, drink some water, throw some water on you.. cool..but not.. I swear it was 120 plus degress in that room!! THankfully i had my fan ...that i would randomly bust out and fan people here and there! We run into some Ta's in there on our way out to go see the end of Christopher. Then make a slight detour to the drum and bass room.. I can dig it.. FOR AWHILE!

THen back over to the main room we find out spots for Infected Mushroom......... omg..the sweating never stopped!! I think at this point i was so pumped up to see them , so tired , and hotter then hell. I had to stay strong to not passout, or get trampled down. I think about an hour into there set i was done!! I NEEDED AIR! We decided just walk around outside and cool off and look for Fair Finds..
I found $15 and a Cute Tee shirt....
We went back to collect the troops... and moosey back to my place...
Got to meet and hangout with a lot of cool people!! It was my pleasue having everyone hang out in my ghettoness! Never had so many ppl at my place at one time... next time I will have working stereo in the living room!! Thank you everyone that came to hangout ...It was fun!

I want to thank Michelle, Sarah, Julie, And Kaine for making this weekend happen! YOu guys are the besT!!
Thanks Andy for the vodka..that woke me up for a few more hours!!

Wow, the event was incredible. The only negative thing that I would point out is the long drive/traffic on the way there. I suggest that nobody take the 91 freeway :/. Anyway, I got there around 5:20 and decided to begin w/ some latin-inspired house that julius papp was playin, then went for the last 30 min of tall paul. Both were very good, and got me in the right mood for the oncoming dj's. It was my first time seeing a lot of the dj's in the labyrinth, and they all blew my mind. Eddie and Hernan had awesome sets that are so good i can't even remember what tracks they played. IM was good, but it seemed to be sorta the same set they played at EDC, so i only stayed for the first hour. I wish i was brave enough to introduce myself to more of the TA's...or any for that matter...but all in good time. I saw you all there, and you looked like you were havin a blast. hopefully i'll get to meet you at monster massive?

The event was a lot of fun. However, to be objective and not just blanket everything as awesome, i will say this. This is probably one of the worst produced and organized insomniac events i have ever been to and the worst produced nocturnal event aside from the year they got kicked out last minute of the desert venue and had to do a last minute show at what is now called the vanguard. The line situation was a complete joke. no organization at all and im sure if someone wanted to, they could make a big deal about how males are singled out over femaales for raping/searching of their personal body space.

The organization of time slots was just stupid. Eddie deserved to be at a much later spot and it would just have made a lot more sense. Henran cantenerro was SOOO in the wrong spot. RITM was also poorly placed but the biggest disservice was to Eddie. The AC situation is just stupid in that tent. The DnB room had a far better situation going. Someone really needs to look into that crap. It is seriously like they dont even care.

The music rocked all night long from all DJs. its always a joy to see so many ravers having such a good time despite the crap they have to put up with. I swear to god that place is jail bait heaven. This event didnt look like it came close to the same number of people that were there for EDC. I wonder why that was. I saw way too many people puking this time. lol. Overall i had a great time. i just wish they would put a little more effort into planning this event.


A track listing of eddie's set, if anyone can get one, would be nice

first off mad props to Blank & Jones. Because i had never seen them and was expecting fluff. but they played far from that. Eddie of course took care of buisness. lawrence just blew me away like the the other 100 times i have seen him, thats why hes my favorite.

met some new TAs while dancing @ the front for B & J. Nice to run into michelle and gypsy as usual. always seem to find u guys @ the front. I did not know the other girl you guys were with but it was funny she didnt want to give me a hug cause i was so sweaty from dancing. all you guys looked great in your out fits though.

one question does anybody know the name of the remix of Mr. Brightside that B & J played? I have never heard it.
