Good pc?

is this a good gaming pc?

http://www.everex.com/products/ga3400/ga3400.htm

(with some added ram and a video card)

I'm not a PC Gamer, but the specs look OK. However, playing games on a LCD screen isn't the choice to make, unless it's a really good screen with low picture latency (ms).

well the reason i have to have a lcd screen is that i have a very tiny room its like a 6' by 12' room , and i need the most space possible. I just bought it on ebay and ive always had intel celerons and pentiums, i never used a amd so im going to be new to their system.

its not a bad computer, but you wont be running recent games at full detail

AMD Athlon 64 3800
1024 MB DDR RAM
Geforce 7300
200 GB Hard Drive

This and everything else that that one has for 800 bucks, configured at www.cyberpowerpc.com

But check out their pre configured AMD and Intel desktops.

that's all in the past
lcd screens now have much lower refresh rates than say 3 years ago

The average response time for most LCD monitors these days is 8ms or lower. But sometimes you'll get higher from companies like Everex or apparently Dell with their prebuilt computers. The problem is that it doesn't tell you the response time of the monitor included in the Everex package.

It's good for a couple of months then you need to burn that shit.

I heard WinXP is still having issues managing the dual core correctly.. so until thats fixed and you can exploit it to its full potential I'd stick with single core..

There are fixes all over the net for those problems, most notably at Microsoft's support page.

1G OCZ 3200 RAM
ATI Radeon X1800XT 256MB graphics card
Asus A8N-E motherboard
Antec P180 case
2x 200GB Seagate HDD
160GB external HDD
Some random 19" CRT monitor that does the job

I have run into very few issues running an Amd dual core under Winxp, and whenever I have I was always able to fix them.

Hence...

XBOX > PC

However, you do get what you pay for, out of a nicely built Gaming PC...for no longer than six months.
