will there ever be a digital release of this track?

I think the digital releases are being done the same time as the vinyls. The 2nd vinyl sampler (of three) is being released on Sept. 11. It features "Spirit" & "Alcatraz". So I'd expect the digital release of "Spirit" to happen around then.
