[HELP!] Firefox Question

I need to block permission to a/some website(s). My younger cousin uses this laptop now that school's started (Real story: I don't want to frequent certain websites that steal too much time away from me during the day). I can't seem to find a way to block any websites (at least not through Firefox).

HEEEEELP!

I'm confused. You want to block your cousin from using certain sites?

fast and dirty..

assuming you are using winxp..

Start -> Run, then type:

notepad.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

then add the site you want to block like this:

127.0.0.1 www.tranceaddict.com

add as many of sites as you want, each on a new line and just change the hostname. Depending on how badly you want to procastinate, you may be lazy enough to not edit the file to visit the sites again and considering firefox's long dns cache, you won't see changes right a way so you will also have to restart the browser or wait a while. Should work for ie as well although shorter dns cache..

that from above will work, or add the domain to adblock.
