Lol, yeah it's always nice. I have converted a couple of people now (not just for trance, but electronic music in general).
i converted people to vamp-zombies and that was the day job
i dunno...personally its such a good feeling cuz i see people learning to appreciate a new art form and in particular is MY art form so its like im leading them into a door that ive been through and its just an awesome feeling...

sure turning people onto trance is fun but I like to have more of a challenge. For example, it is more challenging to turn someone onto country music, but if you are like me & love challenges then it becomes a mission in life to succeed to the max!
Things I am yet to accomplish:
-Turning people onto religions & then turning them back to athiest.
-Turning a frog into a beautiful virgin princess
-Getting a pig to mate with a goat
-Turning cancer into fast food, and then creating a cancer franchises.
-Turn right in my car on a 'LEFT ONLY' sign.
You see, by doing the above, I will turn into a successful person with a fulfilled fruitful life, and a better person than any of you to the max.
It's one thing to get them to listen to trance, it's another to make them understand and appreciate it.
I'm content with letting people listen to what they want, and if they're interested in what I'm listening to then inform them a bit more as to artists and songs to check out. I hate going about preaching on how "my music is somehow better than theirs because it's repetative and requiring more in-depth thought."
In the end you can come off as pompous. And I still don't know why people that listen to electronic music, namely trance, feel they have this necessity to "spread the magic" or whatever they call it.

And another side note. Most trance is poop anyways these days. I bet only 30% of the c0r even really listens to trance any more.

I love turning people ON with trance...that's what I thought this thread was about haha!
But in actuality, yeah I like making CDs for people of trance, hoping to get them into some of it. It hasn't really worked much though...I haven't made one for anyone lately...

Its pretty hard because people here in the states are "blind sheep".Rap or RnB shit,i have given away trance cds to friends and co workers 2 listen 2. all they say 2 me is "u listen to this techno shit".
Yeah, you gotta love it when you get one of your friends to truly get EDM in general...
I've only been able to "convert" one of my friends into EDM, every other fucking person I know is so close minded, for example a few weeks ago I was at a farewell party for a guy at work and after hours of listening to bullshit music on someone's iPod, Andain - Beautiful Things came up and I was so fucking thrilled!!! 30 seconds into the song some bitch changes back into bullshit music, but I switched it back and then ran off to the car to get some of my CDs but only got to play like half of one song after everyone started booing and giving me bad looks...
So it does feel good when someone actually appreciates the good music that you love!
^lol
i love turning beer into cans
