Looks nice, guess at some point ill have to buy a PSP. Vice City is my favourite place in the GTA universe, and another game there sounds amazing.
helllll fucking yeah!!!!
Yeah, this game is going to rooooooooooock so much. I have always liked Vice City better than San Andreas and guess what? In Vice City Stories you will be able to swim, ride ATV's, Jetski's. Also a lot of things have improved, like graphics and such. Oh man, I can't wait. Along with the 80's music, this will be a guaranteed hit!
Oh and @ Moongoose:
You don't have to buy a PSP, I think. Although this game was announced as a PSP exclusive, I doubt it will be so. Liberty City Stories also made it to PS2 after a while, right?

Im going to at least download the soundtrack of this game if im never gonna play it...a little part of me still believes it will be released together with Liberty City Stories to the PC in some kind of double pack.
A third trailer has been released for this game!
In the air tonight!!
Sick indeed
I don't know why but I'm more and more starting to get this feeling that this game definetely won't be making it for PS2 and it just disturbs me.
I'm bumping this because according to the info on pspupdates.qj.net, it seems Rockstar has decided to port this PSP game over to the PS2.

I only hope they improve the graphics and such.

| Originally posted by CONNERMAN2000 This is part of the reason why the PSP isnt very worthwhile from the games perspective. Pretty much anything made exclusively for the PSP that ends up being kickass usually ends up on the PS2. Loco Roco did the same, Lumines Plus is coming at the end of this month, GTA LCS already came over, and now this. This is part of the reason why DS games are unique; they cant be ported to a console without losing what made it unique in the first place. Please forgive the trash talk only because the PSP kicks ass in every other respect, I'm only talking games here (which unfortunetely is the biggest part)...after all DA, this is not the Official PSP Thread! Though I believe Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops is 100% new and 100% exclusive at this time. Not only that, but I read an article that said MGSPO was selling so fast that stores werent able to keep up with demand. Please note, Sony. 100% original, 100% selling. |
Uh Oh, some IGN news says otherwise....

GTA:VCS Not Coming to PS2
Official post fuels rampant game speculation.
January 30, 2007 - Love it or hate it, Grand Theft Auto is one of the largest gaming franchises today. So you can imagine the excitement that was launched last week for fans of the series when PlayStation.com updated its list of PS2 titles with GTA: Vice City Stories. Details for the game were extremely sparse; with the sole exception of the genre and the expected ESRB rating of M for Mature, the game description and release date was completely missing. However, this "announcement" generated a ton of buzz around message boards with the prospect of a new GTA title gracing Sony's venerable system. Unfortunately, it seems that this was a bit premature. We contacted Rockstar today for comment on the posting, and a representative of the company stated that "there are no plans to bring Vice City Stories to the PS2."
Why would PlayStation.com list this as an upcoming title? Speculation could only be that Sony assumed that the series might be coming to the PS2, and posted the announcement without actual information from Rockstar. While we'd all like to see a new GTA, it looks like we'll have to wait for GTA IV, because Vice City Stories isn't going to land on the PS2 any time soon.
So.....I guess its not happening afterall?
