Ideal Midi controler for ableton if you are using it to DJ

I know ther are a few diff types of midi controllers and was interested in getting ableton... what type of midi controller would you use if you were using ableton for mostly djing?

thanks

it depends. if your using it more for dj'ing then it could be a number of things. within that context, if you rely more on ableton than your decks/cds-mixer than that also changes things. my recommendation either way is to go for the M-audio Oxygen 8 (once you get over your keyboard fear ). I have it and its great, although my next purchase and another recommendation is the trigger finger by m-audio to fire off samples etc. the UC-33 also looks pretty damn cool. sorry im a big m-audio fan lol. if your looking for something cheap that would aid you (but its leaning more towards production purposes ofcourse) i recommend the behringer BCR/BCF2000. its cheap but gets the job done. good luck, hope i helped you.

Or of course you could also upgrade your mixer with an ecler Nuo 4 or Pio DJM 800, both with midi.

Just another (more expensive) option.

There is no Ideal controller available in the market.

I think a combination of the Faderfox series would be best (www.faderfox.de)
