As winter is near I will not be going north, I will BE heading SOUTH instead! :sun: I will only consider some dates again in 2007 and not until around April/May. I'll BE recharging batteries from Jan thru April to decide what I may want to do in 2007 or not. I have tons of options and this is the hardest part of this career, or should I make that plural and say "careers" as a "residency" is job #1. Studio Productions & CD compilations are job #2 and #3 is traveling the globe, which is entirely another situation to plan months in advance and make tons of serious commitments and travel planning (which is the biggest headache lately) and then juggle everything else in between. * Now imagine me trying to have a "life" that is not music related? ---> ![]() Can't we clone me? (yikes) - :cyborg: [CENTER]Until further notice, STAY TUNED! |
surprise, surprise.
u guys should give up on Circa!
they will never be open!
didn't Gatien mention the embarassment that he was experiencing having to drop gigs repeatedly due to the state of the club before he sevoured ties with Hingson group? Seriously, they should have just gotten the damn club open first even if that means having to run the place for like 6 months without a major headliner. it's either that or potentially lose your ability to book anyone and never end up openning your doors.
i was really looking forward to this place as they were aiming to offer up a different kind of experience, but stuff like this doesn't look very promising..
circa is a fucking joke with a bunch of idiots behind the wheel.

| Originally posted by riskytrader I completely agree with that statement. Circa has already managed to upset some of it's patrons already without even opening. Marketing is a huge element of planning a new venture and they have pretty much failed in that department time and time again. The entertainment industry in t.o is much different than other cities...most people are not loyal to clubs and get bored easily...I, for one, am already tired of waiting for Circa and I'm sure there are tons more that are too. Plus, that place is cursed!! Bring back playdium |
Maybe I read this wrong.... But isn't Danny T cancelling because he wants to "recharge his batteries"????
For me this means...
DEEP DISH!
LIVE!

I knew this was going to happen. Buuuullshit! This fucking sucks.

Oh well, guess Deep Dish it is then...

I think whatever goes into this location is doomed for failure.

| Originally posted by loca I don't think so. He says he wants to recharge his batteries from Jan - April. I *think* the gig was supposed to be played in Toronto this month or next? |
Thank god I got to see a 6 hour set this summer by the man himself
Too bad for Circa, maybe now they will stop booking dj's to come there and spare themselves..

| Originally posted by TJB True, but he did say that "As winter is near I will not be going north" Either way I don't think that we should give up on Circa quite yet. I seem to remember everyone wanting to give up on Sonic when they kept pushing their open date back.... |
well thats just full of shit and balls...
lookin forward to GU29 then

Sonic > Circa even in the rumours and planning stages.
Too bad. I'm wondering if we'll ever see anything of Circa.
speaking of cursed, that building and the old Turbo/Sound Emporium/TurBOA locations always seem to run into some bad luck one way or another..
maybe they're built over some old Indian burial ground or something..
