Yeah...there's a housey feel to his sets now that I'm kinda enjoying.
sounds more like electroish to me
He plays housier electro stuf earlier in his longish sets. Then goes through the gears into his usual high energy banging trance style. I dont think hes moving away from trance at all if anything by adding the housier stuf its making his sets even more suited to long play outs
That second set on show from the casino looks as trancey and as banging as anything hes been playing recently. So saying hes slowly moving away from that style is completely false from what i can see
He doesn't play anything remotely electro.

It mimmicks my facial expression perfectly when reading a lot of these demmick's posts. Very apt.

| Originally posted by JakeC No. The general instruments and sounds but with modern productoin techniques its obvious. What im getting at is everyone jumps on people saying "that aint got anything to do with electro". electro wasnt all breakbeat. electro wasnt all breakdancing and lino floor mats. |

He is playing the same as he's played for 3 years - only finding BETTER records than usual.
As he described himself in DJMag a while ago "uplifting progressive tech-trance".
Whatever he plays in any genre, he has to consider it uplifting. He doesn't like the filler tracks
We sometimes receive tracks back that we request played... with the answer "not uplifting enough.."
But you will always see, with Tijs, some smatterings of what is currently popular, what is currently doing the rounds... so in these sets that are given as examples so far... as Gizzy said, they ARE trance... they just feature a few tracks in the current 'HOT' style...ie. housier electro-styled tracks in a swedish mafia style.
It is why he was playing Supermode, it's why he is playing Float Away and Cicada.
He has always continued to play a small amount of vocal prog tracks and the odd weird techy banger (Praiseworthy, Mass Noise) style.
Why do people always think he is reinventing himself or changing styles.. this is what he's always played
I was gonna' say exactly that but the best person who could've cleared it up did so before me
thank you chris

| Originally posted by JakeC But thats not the point. Its called Electro house as it has some influence from Electro. So it becomes a bit silly when every time someone says "Electro House" they get the "Its not Electro though". Well no one said it was. It has influences from Electro and thats that. |
