A state Of Trance is proud to present 36 trance classics on 4 CDs in the full version.

are these just tracks that have appeared on asot shows or the anual releases ??

Posted by Coup on Sep-09-2006 17:09:

why why why why why why why ???????????????

theres zillions of cheese compliations done by dj mega woot already full of all of these "trance classics".

This has nothing to do with ASOT at all. These tracks were here long before ASOT was around and ASOT has done nothing to 'boost' the tracks classic status.

This to me is the most blatent attempt at getting a quick buck by playing it safe and putting tracks everyone and their dog knows are famous, and slapping ASOT on the front so the loyal ASOT fanbase, who 95% chance already have every single one of these tracks on a single or album, will still go out and buy.

big fat

Yeah, but they ARE unmixed at least...

how does that make it any better? that makes it even worse. instead of actually doing something to the cd, like mixing, he's just plonked a bunch of classics into a playlist and clicked burn.

i can do that - and have.

I see what you're sayin' but, to me, having 4 CD's of unmixed trance oldies isn't the worst thing in the world.

I agree

Coup is right.

Slapping ASOT when it has nothing to do with ASOT. wtf.

This is stupid. The songs on that CD aren't even that great. Half of them were killed by the radio. Those are not classics I would even want to hear live. You can pretty much make 1 GOOD CD by picking 1-2 tracks in every cd.

-sigh armin.. sigh-

I disagree, this compilation is not cheesy at all. I think the better word here is predictable.

Not really, those tracks are what he played on ASOT regardless of when they have been released. I remember seeing on one of his tracklists having Lemon8 - Model8 on there which is from 1994.

This I do agree with. To be honest if I wanted some classics I'd just buy every one of these cds: http://www.discogs.com/label/Telstar+TV and this http://www.discogs.com/label/Hooj+Choons

I didnt mean the compilation was cheesey, but u can find all of those tracks on the hundreds of "ibiza classics / dance floor killers / ibiza uncovered" and hundreds of other cd's with similar names, all with cheesey art work etc

so ya..predictable.
