Read This! The Path to 9/11 (Warning: high bandwidth)

Wow, talk about a political shit-storm down there!

How do you guys feel about the Demmies using what's tantamount to bully tactics to pull, "Path to 9/11" off the air?

Talk about a political mindscrew.
And now Clinton's lawyers are piping up.

I did find a website thats posting a good preview of it if you're interested in watching it.

Note:
I appologize for my lack of l33t HMTL skillz, so if the embedded Quicktime players don't show up, just click on the source site >here<

The Path to 9/11 is a controversial two-part miniseries scheduled to air in the United States on ABC television on September 10, 2006 at 8 p.m. EDT and September 11, 2006 at 8 p.m. EDT, as well as on the Seven Network in Australia, TVNZ in New Zealand, and BBC Two in the UK on the same dates (see below schedule for specifics).

The film dramatizes the 1993 terrorist attack upon the World Trade Center in New York City and the events leading up to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The film has gained extraordinary pre-airing attention, in part because it purportedly portrays the Clinton administrations as extremely lax in their attention to the threat of al-Qaeda, even foregoing, at one point, an opportunity to capture or kill Osama bin Laden. The film also has gained credibility, in part because 9/11 Commission chairman Thomas Kean served as a consultant to ABC for the film and has endorsed it, although several other commission members have called it a distortion of the facts, including some from the 9/11 Commission report itself.

The film was written by Cyrus Nowrasteh, directed by David L. Cunningham, and stars Harvey Keitel and Donnie Wahlberg[1]. It was produced by Marc Platt, whose previous credits include the two Legally Blonde films [2].

The extensive pre-broadcast controversy over the film has included disputes over the accuracy of its dramatization of key events, as well as calls by historians, from former Clinton and Bush administration officials, as well as from the lead actor Harvey Keitel for ABC to re-edit part of the film or not broadcast it at all.

EDIT: LOL its just one big 24 episode, all its missing is Jack Bauer. Its great fictional entertainment, I'm enjoying it!

I don't see the big deal really, its kinda hard to follow. Any average viewer not familiar with the names of all the players and what events its depeciting isn't going to get the political message its trying to convey. Democrats are weak and Clinton let bin Ladin escape is really the only big theme that came through.

The only thing they forgot to add was that the fact that America trained Osama or Usama Bin Laden to conduct terrorist attacks towards the Russians, thus creating terrorism.

your stupid.

the CIA advised the Afghan Mujahadeen on tactics on how to counter Russian hardware i.e. tanks, Migs, Radar, Artillery, Helicopters.

we gave them stinger missles. the CIA never actually met Bin Laden.
