Thanks man...I don't provide sets without the tags on them, and in fact a lot of the people that have written in prefer those tags to be in the mixes, plus this is a podcast that's aired online at www.afterhours.fm. The tags were done professionally. As are Armins in ASOT every week. I spent a lot of money to have them done. I used to provide sets without tags on them before and a few ended up on e-bay. People were trying to sell them off. So tags are a must!

Plus it gives people the chance to write into the show.

Cheers,
XTC

Nice mix; good flow. It's got a pretty good/heavy beat, too.

Too bad it's too long to burn to CD, but I can def. fit it in my MP3 player. Thanks.

As a critique, the first min. is a bit annoying. : \

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah the talk bit during the first min is a bit too long. Found that myself, but had to get everything in there this episode. Plus I'm not working with the best of mics here too. I'll shorten it up for future episodes, and I can't wait until my new mic comes in!

Keep in mind though, this is a 2 hour online radio show, not just a DJ mix I'm sharing online. I built this show around Mp3 players when downloaded, one of the reasons why I like to call it a podcast

Thanks again for the critique and the feedback!

Yeah, a bit too much talking in the beginning. 30 sec. would probably suffice. One other thing I notice is that the transition at 84:04 is weird. It's as if one mix ends and then you fuse it to another mix. There's a huge drop in BPM, so I realize a smooth transition would've been all but impossible.

That's true that more people these days who download mixes put them on an MP3 player or MP3 CD rather than as an audio CD. I'll have to get an MP3-capable head unit for my car one of these days.

You're welcome for the feedback and thanks again for making the mix.

I was actually trying something different with this set then others I've mixed. Didn't know if it would work or not. The drop in the BPM was actually a result in trying to get the rest of my Top 18 in and wind the mix down a bit before I ended it. I could have fit those songs in at the beginning of the mix where the BPM was lower. That time index sounded a bit off to me as well. It's easier to go from a lower to higher bpm, but from a higher to lower bpm is a bit hard to do, lol. Plus that might have been too much of a drop at once. I should have slowed it down more gradually.

Wow, guys thanks for this feedback. I think I got a good idea what my next mix should sound like. It's hard to sit back and judge your own work sometimes. I really like getting feedback from my peers, gives me a chance to get some fresh minds in. Hopefully I can return the favor sometime

I hear you. Yes, it is easier to go from slow to fast than vice versa. I had a similar dilemma in one of my mixes (Hit Singles 1994-1996) and decided that doing a blend transition would've been too awkward. So I did something similar as you, but I was able to match the beat at the end of one track and the start of the next track.

I'd like to get your feedback on my mixes. Check out my Web site shown in my sig and feel free to downloaded a mix or 2 or more.
