Help me Florida!!
Hello, everyone!!!
I'm a Los Angeles girl in South Beach for work and today was my last day. My flight leaves tomorrow night....WOOT party time!!!! Tonight I was looking for some good electronic music to listen to and I have no idea where to go. If anyone could please give me ANY advice it would be very welcomed.
Thanks so much
Hmmmm....let's see here. Most venues are playing hip-hop tonight, but let me see here.
Ok, maybe Amika has electronic music tonight. I know up to about 2 weeks ago, they had a house music party there on Thursdays. Not sure if they still do.
Amika
1532 Washington Avenue
305-534-1499
If not, a small lounge which does play house music [I see you like trance, but you won't find any place that plays trance in Miami tonight, trust me] is Cafeteria. The venue is small, but my boy, Tyler, is the bartender there, so expect to be drunk in about 15 minutes flat.
Cafeteria
546 Lincoln Road
305-672-3663
You can try Opium/Prive [adjacent clubs] as well, but I think they have hip-hop on Thursdays. They're at 136 Collins Avenue. 305-531-5535.
If I was you, I would go to Cafeteria for some drinks and then maybe hit up Pearl, if ya like 80's music. That's probably where I'll be going tonight. The party is called 'Freeze Frame.'

Ciao.
Thank you so much. I didn't think that there was going to be much, but we will check out your suggestions. I would prefer trance but I think my co-workers can live with top 40 hip hop.
WOOT
Lindsey
ps
Maybe I will see you out.
Fo sho. You're welcome. If you guys decide to head to Cafeteria, tell Tyler [blonde guy with a pony-tail] I sent you.
And yeah, I might see you tonight. The thing is, I dunno what you look like.
Sooo...
did ya hit it?
PICS!
Soooooo, I went to Prive and danced a little bit. We were the first ones in there and probably the first ones to leave. After we checked out Amika and they were playing house music and the place was dead. However, we owned it!! lol The house music made me really crave trance and I would never request (even though the place was empty), but the music was ok, there wasn't any build up it was just a constant boom boom boom. They played a couple of top 40 remixes, that was fun.
Anyway, thanks so much for the advice, I knew I could count on my fellow TA's. I did have a good time and great company.
Good by Florida, see you in The City of Angeles...
