Photoshop Battle / Tennis on TA

I think it'd be a fun idea to do a photoshop battle on TA.


For those of you who do not know what a photoshop battle is it basically involves two or more people working on a massive photochop that they pass from one to the other until a final piece is created.

People currently participating:

NO MORE PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR THIS ROUND!

Judges:

1. Allied Nations
   
2. nchs09
   
3. stren
   

Each participant round will be graded on a scale of 1 to 10. Grading should be done once all the rounds have been completed ( 6 users 3 times each ! ).

Specifications and means of operation:
-Photoshop ( duh )
-800X600 image size
-48 hours maximum per pass. If you are unable to participate under that time frame for your round say so and you will be given another pass later
-Each participant will have 3 PASSES on the same project!
-If you are using text please RASTERIZE the type! This will prevent issues if other people do not have your font set!
-Put your adds and edits in new layers! If you must modify previous material, duplicate the layer(s) and work on that one.
-When a participant has completed their round they need to post a jpg image in this thread, and transfer the photoshop psd file to the next participant ( _Nut_ is handling the file hosting for this )

good idea, and fun, think it's been done before but so long ago it's worth doing again.

aslong as the PSD is only PM'd to the next person doing the chop and so on it'll work, uploading the PSD and linking won't.

yes the psd files should not be posted on here.
We'll need to agree on the participants before the fun goes underway and also agree on an order of execution and number of passes.

We shouldn't do anything huge either as it will end up in working with huge file sizes and with that the troubles involved in sending the files from one participant to the other.

If everyone does 3 passes we will have 15 passes total, I think that is plenty without it getting out of hand.



Here is what we will do:
whenever someone is done with their turn they need to post their picture in the thread and send the psd file to the next person in line. ok?

works for me. But I can only work on it in the evenings. Dont have PS @ work.

Well if this lasts more than two weeks I want in, but no can do until then as I'm going on holiday on sat

I can provide an FTP upload as well if we need a server to store it on.

(assuming everyone has an FTP client)

I think we'll start doing this relatively quickly so we can't wait two weeks sorry.
If this turns out well ( which I hope it will ) we'll do it again later

No Min, but I would say a max of 48. If one person isnt available I think that the person should either be skipped till the next pass.. or if someone wants to micromanage... put the person that missed at the end of 5 person queue.

I'll manage the order of participation and potential changes.

who will judge?


I would think of something like:
48 hours psd format only; layers in-tact; use an FTP (I can donate about 300megs) 1024 x 768 is my proposal

judeges commentate under each image and mark out of 10 - 3 modifications per player.

total marks per judge like boxing.
