New 9/11 Footage

This video, released 5years after the tradgic events has shed a new perspective on how the events unfolded on the 11th of Spetmber in New York.
There is nothing that I've seen or heard before that made me think or feel like this about 9/11.
You actually got a feel for what it was like on that day right there. You hear the fire trucks, the police cars, you hear people react to what they see as they see it and not how a Reporter tells it.
I knew it will have been disturbing, confusing as well at completely terrifying for those to see it all unfold, but now I see it for myself.

It's insane to watch the smoke consume the entire city.

This kind of lends some confirmation to the level of hazard in which these large buildings actually cause. If a fire starts higher up, it is INCREDIBLY hard for them to receive help, and in the event it collapses, it devastates the area for miles around.

They really should reconsider the development of such large buildings, or perhaps consider a new design that can make them emergency friendly.

this is GOOD. i'm a little confused as to why its "new"....i mean, for someone to have had this footage for 5 years w/out telling anyone....


but regardless....it's a really good thing, i think, to see just regular home footage....and not some reporter's edited version. it's an odd angle...not being able to see the south tower until the first one collapses....but that's definitely something that was shocking to see.

hearing those sounds, seeing it out your front window, i still can't imagine what it must have felt like living in NYC that day. this is a good piece of footage. and i'm glad that it's just a plain old regular view....and not biased in anyway....just your average NY'rs view from their window.

they edited the parts i wanted to see

interesting to see this new aspect after all this time

the problem isnt the sky-scraper so much as it was the unique design of the WTC towers. a traditional steel structure could possibly have stood for much longer allowing the fires to be fought. as it was though, the specific design meant the towers were especially vulnerable to the ensuing fires.

it was pretty fortunate that they imploded the way they did, cant imagine if they wouldve been hit lower and fell sideways

What year did The Towering Inferno come out? Mid-70's maybe? I remember seeing it on tv as a kid and the only part I remember is one of the fireman lamenting how tall buildings are too tall for them to put out fires. If we haven't figured it out in the 30 years since that movie was made we won't be doing it now either.

It shouldn't be an issue most of the time anyway. In a normal fire the sprinkler system would likely have taken care of things, plus there would be hoses everywhere and access for firefighters. Obviously what happened to the towers was far above and beyond a normal fire. The sprinkler systems were knocked out (and likely useless anyway with all that jet fuel) and the stairwells were inaccessable which I suppose didn't matter much anyway because fire crews didn't have time to climb that high.

This was a planned attack. The fire from the jet fuel DID NOT cause the buildings to collapse. There's several skyscrapers across the world, which sustained worse fires for longer periods of time, and are still standing today. Yet, the Twin Towers (WTC I & II) were known to be the best built skyscrapers in the world. There must have been demolition explosives in the buildings, to cause the collapse.

I'd hate to think what I just said is true, but a jet fuel fire sounds too basic, for the most sophisticated buildings in the world to collapse under such circumstances.

The thing with conspiracy theorists is they rely on a lot of non factual evidence and in many cases do not know what they are talking about.

I don't know if there really was a government involvement or not but in any case with what has been shown and "proven" ( aka debunked countless times ) so far has shown us nothing of substance to prove it was irrefutably a conspiracy.

I'm not saying the goverment was involved. Simply, terrorists can plant enough explosives inside such a large building, over a matter of years - even decades, without notice.

The way the plane hit and damaged the building, shifted the loads to places where it shouldn't be. Common sense, basic rules of physics, and common knowledge of architecture can tell you that unexpected shifts in stress, especially on objects which aren't load-bearing, will increase chances for a collapse. The fire hastened the process and increased the chance as well.
