Jonas Steur - Second Turn / Sonrisa [Intuition]

The EP of the summer finally hits music stores worldwide! Ask anyone who the trance producer of the moment is and they will undoubtedly answer: Jonas Steur. Second Turn was already featured on Tiesto's In Search Of Sunrise 5 album, whilst in the meantime top DJs such as Paul Van Dyk and Armin Van Buuren supported the track. Another fine release on Menno de Jong's Intuition Recordings, which combines the best of both worlds: Second Turn is a track with vibrant melodic chords supported by pleasant Belgian techno beats, on the flipside Sonrisa is a beautiful melancholic tune with a typical Jonas Steur melody. Regardless of the temperature outside, these two tracks will definitely bring summer back! Run to your favourite record store and/or surf to your favourite legal download store because this package is simply essential for your collection!

Second Turn
Sonrisa

A great EP, especially the A-Side is fantastic; it has a nice summer-feel, nice drums.
B-Side is nice. too!

A: 8.5/10
B: 7/10

Cool, I finally get to hear Sonrisa. Sounds really nice, a good track for the begining of a set. Sounds like it could work in a prog set pretty well. But "Second Turn" absolutely blows me away. Can't wait till they are released digitally....Jonas Steur is on of the few remaining trance producers I like...with Micro de Govia too, but he hardly produces anything anymore.

Another quality release by Jonas.

Second turn - 7.5
Sonrisa - 8.0

Not impressed by this release... Second turn is very boring and unoriginal. Sonrisa is e beautiful track, but I hope this is the last track in this style... Too much is too much.

Second Turn - 3/10
Sonrisa- 7/10

both tracks do not really blow me away or anything, sound is being chewed out a bit atm

As much as I love Jonas Steur's work I'd have to agree with you, these two tracks are a disappointment.

Finally! Been waiting for Second Turn forever.

Great release. Especially love Sonrisa.

To those saying the sound is being chewed out, well I guess it is, nearly all of Jonas's productions have the same sound but that's the point isn't it?

As the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".
Who the hell does something right and then changes it completely?

2 cool tracks ... for me nothing more, but i prefer sonrisa, second turn is a little poor

I would have bought this if it was released a few months ago but now no thanks.

I quite like Second Turn. But this guy's sound is becoming VERY stale VERY quickly. Quality over quantity.

Not impressed with them.I was expecting way more from Jonas.

Woohoo finally released on BeatPort. Nice tracks, definitely getting the WAV files on this one.

Sonrisa all the way

"Second turn" 7/10
"Sornisa" 5.5/10

Good tracks, but nothing special.

Take a listen to "Dj Danjo & Styles - What lies ahead [Estuera Remix]"...a masterpiece by Jonas Steur.
