Hottest Sounding Female Vocals on ANY Track?

It's between

Praga Khan - Injected with a Poison

OR

Guardians of the Earth - Starchildren

Because there are more vocals, I'm gonna say Starchildren. She sounds awesome.

Hear it here - vocals start at 4:25:

That'll be Nikkie Van Lierrop; AKA Jade 4U, on vocals.

Good knowledge! Cheers!

I have the entire Praga Khan / Lords of Acid Discography, until Jade 4U went solo. No matter how fucked up the songs are, her voice is very appealing.

I think it would be fair to say Donna Maria has a great voice, in the very-very-very rare vinyl single I have, "The Closer I Get To Heaven".

I play this song over and over, whenever I can - can't get enough of listening to it.

Lysa Aya Trenie (Aya): I.E Blue Six - Love Yourself

Lisa Shaw: I.E Miguel Migs - Waiting

Robbie Rivera - Float Away

those vocals get me every time. absolutely love them.

Jesus, you people are the most narrowest motherfucking thinkers ever.

You're basically asking for the best singer ever! That is a big, huge, subjective field to play in. How can you even beging to compare any fucking two-bit, no-range, off-key, whiny-sounding trance tart who was only put on the record because the producer wanted to bang her with the great soul, rock, and R&B greats who've had 40 more years of enrichment in the craft and wealth of their genres?

And how do you even compare them to each other? Summer? Franklin? Joplin? Holloway? I don't care much for Celine Dion, but you can't deny she has an incredible, rich, full voice that is just about uncomparable to any mortal animal on earth.

And we haven't even got into gospel music or opera.

Seriously now. Stop posting subjectively vague threads that are nothing more than thinly-veiled validation pleas for whatever you're listening to at the moment. We get it. You like this artist. You like this track. You like this producer. You like this singer. Nobody fucking cares (but they love to tell you who THEY like instead).

Well, the title thread is reads hottest vocals in a track. None of the artists you mentioned would qualify as hot/sexy vocals. At least not in my opinion, much less gospel or opera.
Some of the artists you mentioned do have beautiful high range vocals, but they're not exactly hot and neither is the music they sing to.

Posted by Ishkur on Sep-16-2006 23:45:

In case you hadn't noticed, NONE of the artists listed in this thread have hot/sexy vocals either (Jade 4U is sleazy, not sexy, like Peaches or Miss Kittin after her), which is the whole point of my argument: That you people can't follow fucking directions, and will use this thread as an excuse to rattle off your favourite vocalists regardless of whether they're actually pertaining to the topic or not....which you have.

Who are pretty bad in the grand scope of ALL music.

I dont know about Jade4u and Jan Johnston definitely does not qualify. The two tracks i mentioned have sexy/hot vocals in my opinion, you don't agree?

The problem is not the nature of the question, but the fact that you're failing to recognize that different people find different qualities attractive. For some, sleazy might indeed mean sexy, and for some, I suppose, Celine Dion might also qualify. It's totally personal preference and only has as much to do with actual musicianship as does your ability to enjoy music with varying degrees of it lacking. There's no right answer, nor is there a wrong one. Yes, some people MIGHT just list their favorite vocalists here, and could still be addressing the question properly if the sexual appeal of vocals is what they value highest.

Move along...

Mate, you've got the occasional point, but why not try to make them in a slightly less angry fashion? Nobody needs that sort of derogatory input in a thread regardless of how pointless you think other peoples posts are.

I may regret saying this but if you don't have anything constructive to say - why waste your time by saying anything at all? You've not changed anyones minds as to what they already think, you've just wasted part of your life.

Posted by nefardec on Sep-17-2006 01:51:

I'm going to have to say Kathy Brown in Turn Me Out and its many reappearances in other tracks. Fucking hot

Posted by Spirit5 on Sep-17-2006 02:01:

Enigma - Sadeness, Mea Culpa, I Love You... I'll Kill You, Princples of Lust
Delerium - Silence, Flowers Become Screens (kind of gothy-sexy at the same time), Euphoria (Firefly)
Sarah McLachlan - pretty much all of her stuff, including the remixes
Balligomingo - Falling, Heat, Sweet Allure, Wild Butterfly, Lost, Lust
Sleepthief - Dawnseeker (various tracks on the album)

Posted by sensorium on Sep-17-2006 02:12:

-Roco Drcal
-Lhasa (also known as Lhasa de Sela)

Then you're proving my point, which is that people will instinctively post their favourite singers regardless, rendering the eclectic niche pertaining to the thread's questioning rather moot. Because he did NOT say what is the best vocalist. He said what is the sexiest. But no one's posted one yet. As I predicted. Heh.
