Zehavi and Rand - Remix Competition!

Hi guys ,

We have just recently launched our new website and to celebrate it we are giving new producers the chance to remix our forthcoming track on DeepBlue records - Electrostatic Damage.
The winning remix will be included in the official release!

Head on to www.innerandouter.org.il for rules and details.

Good luck people

definetly worth a shot : just wondering, will you be replying to submitted entries?

Posted by Efirand on Sep-18-2006 21:22:

Well ,
only an email with a winning confirmation will be sent to the winner , the other two will be anonounced on our site , as well as on Trance.nu
We cannot give feedbacks , and we must ask again not to send incopleted works.

Hope this helps

im curious to ask about the reasoning of not allowing remixes to be posted on the web? personally this will mean i cant enter mine but im still going to finish it for personal satisfaction.

just curious

I have downloaded the files. but i would really like to hear a sample of the original track.

The main reason is that we dont want producers to send us unfinished material asking for our opinion.

In some cases where people wont be able to send out their project via post office , we will allow them to send us a link.

I must add that having a CD with your material , gives the listener a full aspect of your creation, rather then clicking a link with your track.

Hope to hear some massive stuff from the guys here!

Is there some where that you could have a preview on how the original track sounds?

Maybe you have the first remix pack , where the original track was falsly excluded.
Please refer to the fixed version here:
http://www.innerandouter.org.il/zeh...e-remixpack.rar
There's a file there entitled "ESD-sample.mp3" where you can have a preview of the original track.

Ok thanks for clearing that up I do hope to finish mine and id never said anything unfished, though im still concerned about what i read in the rules. It appears to imply that people's remixes arent allowed to be shared if they're not the winner?

Maybe im reading it wrong...

Thanks guys, pretty cool track

Hey,
I sent you a PM about this, but I will post it here as well.

1.Do you want us to send you a mastered version, or will you be doing
the mastering yourself for the winner?

I also have a another question:

2. I could be wrong, but it seems that the samples you provide are
different from what the song actually sounds like. Do you
require or recommend that we use these samples for our remix
or can we freely do whatever we want?

Hey ,

I just answered your PM , and since it goes for the rest of the producers here - i can advise them also to send their best result , if quick mastering is needed , why not applying it. the winner will be asked to supply a wave file with the premaster version - the mixed only wave to be mastered proffesionaly by Deepblue sound engineer ..

About your 2nd question - We supplied a midi file with the notes , it's best if your remix will focus on the patterns rather than effects and other sounds. the effects in the remix pack are implemented in the original piece and contribute to the track's atmosphere.
So - do your magic people!
