Which Dj(s) dont you want to see anymore ? And Why?

1. Tiesto -"mainstream"
best friends with tony monaco and the rest of the 103.5 crew

2. Paul Van Dyk........too cool for toronto.......

eddie halliwell - oh hes good. hes verrrrrrrry good...but i get bored waiting and watching..much prefer to dance. plus i've seen him enough

infusion - cocky shits..after their remarks at WMC05..no interest

he's not a DJ .. but MC Stretch. any man who speaks in echo needs to be hanged.

"Raise your hands in the air, for the numba one D-J! D-J! D-J!..."

tiesto i wouldnt be as hyped for as i used to be...

Mauro Picotto.

Why? The man must be deaf because his performances are horrible.

Nevio

edit: ok, before more people say Mauro Picotto...your opinions are pretty biased considering you guys just don't like the stuff he mixes in his sets now (mnnl). What else is there to complain about? his mixing? Don't make me laugh. There wasn't one review from Ultra Spin 9 that clearly explained why he sucked...it was just tunage bashing.

I'm out of the loop what did they say in Miami? I've always thought they came across as being a bit big for thier own reputation but I like how live they can keep thier shows.

infected mushroom.

i hate pys trance. and when theres a big event with infected mushroom right in the center of it, really turns me off.

No, I think he is a brutally boring DJ no matter what style he plays.

If he's playing hard techno, it's sucky hard techno, and if it's minimal, it's crappy minimal. Both can be played well, but he doesn't seem to grasp that.

James Holden
His live sets sound like Nintendo 1 gone bad !

Tiesto
Not because I dont like his music, but clubs are insanely overpacked when he plays.

Mauro Picotto can no longer mix (well). He either wrecks the phrasing or the harmonics - either way the transitions are brutal.

Posted by kabelicious on Sep-18-2006 21:11:

1.) Oakenfold (KT opens for him and he's BETTER THAN HIM!)

2.) Tiesto (meh)

3.) Armin Van Buren (if he's at a large event with other DJs, kewl but not on his own - I just don't get hyped for him anymore)

4.) Deep Dish (I have seen the Dish so many times that I don't feel the need to go to pay to see them at a single event unless they change their style again) I love their tunes but I won't see them live anymore - 6 times is enough for me.

Second Sun, Infected Mushroom

Oh man, I knew the counter thread was coming (which is good, this site is for music). I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to edit this but here it goes...

1. Oakenfold. Many reasons, but mainly that he heads my list of (many) DJ's that are getting gigs at big venues because of their name. His mixing is horrifying, his tunes are 9 years old and he looks like a has been more and more... give it up already.

2. Andy Moor. No creativity as a DJ IMO, just plays all his tunes/remixes and throws in the most popular tracks from whatever Markus or Armin is playing, rather it picks up the vibe or not. A perfect example of how you can be a good producer and get alot of gigs if you know how to mix one track into another.

3. Gabriel & Dresden. I've tried very hard to see what everyone sees and yet I always fail... maybe cause they spin cover songs mixed in with defening electro. Really overated in my books, from the technical and creative side or producing which I know you shouldn't mention but they pretty much don't spin anything other than that, so that's why I'm hating on them.

I'm sure I'll think of more....

I guess I'm just that 1/10000 that thought otherwise...

that's surprising, since he's not really around these parts enough to get sick of him.

I forgot to add Deep Dish. Deep Dish, Steve Lawler, that whole crew of prog-house guv bookings that happen 3 times a year.

Posted by ChemEnhanced on Sep-18-2006 22:29:

Armin - he just hasn't impressed me

Tiesto in North America - crowd and just too fluffy for me now

Second Sun - I almost cut my ears off just so I wouldn't have to hear anymore of their set last time they were here.

Ferry - Seen him enough

Deep Dish - seen them enough

There are many more but I am just too tired to name them all now.

P.S. This thread is a time bomb

Posted by Cribby on Sep-18-2006 22:31:

I too am sick of the deep dish pizza.

Posted by 7-4-7 on Sep-18-2006 22:36:

Mark Oliver - more miss than hit

Gabriel and Dresden - their sound is tired, their livesets are dull.

Timo Maas - I used to love this guy until I realised he just can't mix, lacks intensity, and he trainwrecks as a standard in all of his sets

Infected Mushroom - I have always found their sets have a bass that annoys me, very tinny shitty sound. The air guitar and vocals that never change are tiresome.

Guetta - fluffy, wont be making it out for him anymore

Tiesto - drunk/tired Tiesto is garbagio
