im looking to buy studio monitors for around 400 euro..i am currently looking at alesis m1 mk2 monitors on thomann.de. has anyone any other suggestions? i am only going to purchase monitors with built in amps as idont want to buy a new amplifier either thanx....

I bought my Alesis monitors from Thomann.
I'm very happy with the sound of them. Good bang for the buck IMO.
(They sounded harsh in the highs and a bit boxy in the bass at first, but that's due to the break-in period. They sound great now.)
Don't expect deep bass from them. They're only 6.5" after all. I have no trouble mixing basslines and kicks with them.
