Inventions of practical use that you hate.

Alarm clocks. :/

And cell phones. I hate phones in general, but cell phones really annoy the pissbricks out of me. Everyone is always on them. It's seriously cut down on just regular communication between people. I've got one, but I don't use if I don't really have to.

computers.

they used to be really complicated, so only smart people could use them. but now, its all plug n play, when you combine it with the internet you get intellectual pygmies filling up forums with useless "please give me advice coz im a fucking retard that cant think for myself" threads.

Yeah I've wondered that. Whenever I hear one in the parking lot I just ignored it and figure that its some 90 year old grandmother who mashed the wrong button on her keypad.

Definitely agree on cell phones. Personally, I think they are quickly becoming their own worst enemy to a certain degree. Why everyone feels the need to constantly be on them is honestly beyond me at times, especially around campus. Seriously, what is so important that 10 seconds after you walk out of class you need to call someone right away? Half the time it's just pointless small talk too.

The thing that really fucks with me though is text-messaging. Never liked it, never will, and ditto for the chronic text-messagers. The worst offenders by far are girls. Just makes me want to take their phone and snap it in half when I see that shit.

i have a love/hate relationship w/ phones; cellphones in particular. i dislike it and try to minimize the use as much as possible but i cant live w/o it. im not a big fan of legnthy phone calls too. if it takes that much time, id rather talk in person or if not possible, over msn or whathaveyou.

i hate txt messaging and answering machines even more tho. txt messaging is such a pain in the ass. if theres anything to be said of substance, id rather talk in person like mentioned above. and as for answering machines... nothing grates me worse than getting the answering machine when i make phone calls!

+1 on answering machines. If I get an answering machine I generally just hang up, unless it's important that somebody gets my message. (Very rare). I don't own one - My friends know well enough to just SMS me. That way I will get it.
