Best Radar detector?

Hey peepss..

Im looking into some sort of reviews about which Radar I should look into. I had a Cobra and it got stolen and its been a year since... almost 2. I didnt really like the cobra hence it was all noise all the time.

I was looking into the Escort Passport 8500 X50 Radar and Laser Detector (Blue Display)

Im reading that its pretty sophisticated and it works great. Very top of the line.

If any of you have any references to other radars such as Valentine and such please post.. alright c0r whores thax in advance.

Thats one thing i don't get about radar detectors, if your radar can pic up a cops (which is probably top of the line) chances are he/she already knows about joo...

get the Valentine 1. it expensive but its heaps above the rest. tells you where the signal is coming from n everything.

It was too expensive for me so I just got the escort 8500 I think, it was years ago. But it still works today, has less false alarms than others ive been around, and has saved me a few times.

Im not looking for a radar as an excuse to speed, but more as a way to drive a lot more conftably. The detectors do detect guns, its all a matter of time. They way it works is they click twice.. if they see that you increased speed or kept it steady on the second time your doomed, if not ur safe. Anyways.. its always good to be warned no?? by the way they are legal here in FL for those of u who may live in area thats illegal, in that case, I do consider it to be .. Stupid.

Still I think the fine is more if they catch you with a detector
