What would you prefer?

Imagine one of the following:

a) You are regarded as the most beautiful human during your lifetime by everyone else on the planet

b) You are regarded as the most intelligent human during your lifetime by everyone else on the planet

In both cases you aren't in fact what you are considered to be(you still are yourself) but you receive the full advantages of what other people think you are.

So what would you prefer and why?

Remenber, everything you do is considered to be the most intelligent thing a human could do.

So if you denied to do something and said other people could solve a problem better than you, they would rely on your rejection and accept it as the best thing to do because they absolutely trust in your intelligence.

Trust me, I've gone through the greater part of my life living with number 2 (through school, high school, college, work, and pretty much all social environments involving people who knew me directly). It's not a good thing. Not only does it have very few benefits, but alot of people will hate you for it. As for number one, seeing as our society puts more emphasis on physical appearence than anything else, it's more likely to give you much more (undeserved) credibility and respect in the eyes of others.

If "the world" was everybody except you and the point of view was the perspective of the world, then yes.

But you are just the same person as you are right now, it's just the others' point of view that makes you the most beautiful or most intelligent individual.

I believe that being regarded as intelligent and really being intelligent is one and the same !

if everybody regards you as the most intelligent person, but you think you are still the same guy, then the world has dumbed down all of a suddden !! In that case, you are the most intelligent person.

yeah, i agree w/ that; and would go for option #1

well, it's not the same...

...but I'm too lazy too explain this now since I'm German and english is not my first language and I'm tired because it's 2.30 a.m and I'm going to sleep now.
