Matthias

I found symbiosis 4 on my computer and listened to it for the first time. Wow what a great set! Got any more?

Posted by Benjamin DuBose on Sep-22-2006 03:39:

Go to his web site. You can click a link on his profile to get there. He has a bunch of sets on there you can download. I like the Katrina one the most so far.

Posted by Zild on Sep-22-2006 03:42:

Hey Raze I'm doing a set right now think maybe if you like it enough you might want to host it? I'm going to post it on sendspace later tonight or tomorrow.

he has a Myspace page as well with some clips.

Goddamn. I just barely saw this thread and already 60 views. I appreciate the vote of confidence. All of my mixes can be downloaded at the reference website someone else posted, or from my myspace blog as well including tracklistings:

http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?f...riendID=4728296

To date, Symbiosis 4 is my latest mix. I cannot fully answer if I have anymore like it, as being my latest mix..that was my latest attempt to outdo previous mixes I have made. Reagrding set progression, track selection (mix of older and new favorites at the time of recording), harmonic mxing, and overall sound quality...I feel it was technically my best mix. Subjectively, there are earlier mixes I felt I could go back now and do a better job with, but its all a learning experience.

In other opinions, many have prefered my December 05 mix as its more on the progressive electro housey side, many dug the Katrina benefit mix as it was recorded on the fly. Its all on personal taste. Raze1 I'm glad you dug the mix thanks for the feedback.

I feel ya bro. It will happen again when I am able to afford to invest purchasing more tracks. I'm not currently on any record pools so I dont get free shit. Other than the whole jumping out of planes shit that I never saw coming I'm also taking a step back to focus more on the production aspect of things. To break some news, Brittany (BASE919) has come to me asking to help write a few tracks to score a BASE documentary she hopes to finish in the next 3 months. Bottom line..I'm still involved with the music, just trying to get the ball rolling on my own productions rather than using others' material in sets. Just will take a bit of time.

Good news is, my new job has me working during the weekend and gives me all weekends and holidays off; unlike previous jobs, this will allow me to play out of town gigs without requesting additional time off. There has been alot of controversy surrounding personal/business disagreements between myself and certain promoters. While this has been a factor in me not playing out of town gigs...it has not influenced my decision to not make more mixes. After Brittany's project is completed, and hoping a few finished tracks under my belt, I'll get to work on another mix. Fair enough?

To everyone who has supported me in the past few years, I will always appreciate it and as long as people were interested in hearing the music I brought to the venue, I always had a personal obligation to keep it going. The finances caught up with me, credit cards maxed, damn little income, you get the picture. Its working itself out though, and should be back to it soon enough. Thanks again.

HAHA. Well, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but at the time I selected it for its electro bassline and it seemed to compliment the second half of Dub Sonar (Luke Chable mix) perfectly...but mainly I liked the bassline.

Thanks Matthias.

My brother pulled the plug on the mectersa.com site as he no longer needed it and assumed I stopped doing the music. However, since i informed him that I was taking a break, he provided an alternate www.210364.com to download the files. When I checked the links were not working yet...not sure if this has been rectified or not.

I appreciate the kind words, but I can neither agree nor disagree with this statement. I can say that I have listened to Dirk's mix and do recommend those who haven't heard it to give it a listen.

Lance approached me to get a Proton Radio set together so I'll be looking forward to working on that and getting a new mix out soon. Thanks again.

I don't think he could pull himself away from his super-mega-cool anime to make them himself.

Making tracklist's is hard... I can't ever keep up with all the mixes I do etc.

I wait for the request, then try to fill it in. It's fuckin' fun that way... and hard as shit lol

Odd, because you always have them when you post mixes. Do you delete them after?

No no.. those that I post here, I have.... but all the shows I do on party107, etn etc. I don't keep.... the one's I keep by randomness are the one's I put up. If I don't keep the tracklist, or make one up.. I normally don't put it up on my site (i do sometimes lol)

Just depends on how busy I am atm.. or lazy or whatever you want to say.

Exhibit A: Tracklist & Request forums

There is a topic there requesting the tracklist from RealDeep 015. I will have to go home and sift and see what I come up with lol but I KNOW I don't have it written down

Keep It Real

More of a trancey one I made for Brittany and a few friends at the dropzone. This one's unlike most of progressive mixes and more or less the style I played prior to 2004 as it's much faster in tempo. Most of the jumpers I made this for don't have the education in electronic music those of us on this forum have hence the highly recognizeable tracklisting.

Its the only mix I've found time to record since May so....

ENJOY

I'm in the midsts of getting my shit together for a mix Lance requested me to make for Proton Radio. Since the deadline's a way off hopefully I can get some original material recorded. I would also add if any producers on here have any material they would like me to consider using in this mix I am more than willing to get some local talent recognized. Just let me know.

Thanks

Unfortunately the 'playing more Houston gigs' thing is not and never has been up to me. If it were I would. Theres no major travel expenses since I live here, so I'd have no issue playing out.

To my honest recollection, I've never turned down a gig here in Houston. However on the same token I haven't received too many offers. As far as coming out to shows, it has to fall on a weekend or I won't be able to make it. I might be at RITM, we'll see.
