DJ Sets v. Live PAs

So i know when a DJ spins vinyl or cds its a dj set, but when someone like junkie xl goes on and plays off a computer through his korg thing its called a live PA. Is sasha doing a dj set when he plays on ableton since he is mixing live?

What he does is really just a hybrid of different things.

He isn't actually producing anything and most of the stuff isn't material he ever wrote himself to begin with.

Sasha live = live remixing show.

Ah so in order for it to be a PA it has to be all your own stuff?
